ASSOCIATING MOBILE AND NON MOBILE WEB CONTENT
In embodiments of the present invention methods and systems are described for associating a mobile website content with a non-mobile website content, saving the association in a data facility, receiving a request for the non-mobile website content from a mobile communication facility, searching the data facility for the mobile website content associated with the non-mobile website content, and presenting the mobile website content to the mobile communication facility.
1 . A method comprising:
associating a mobile website content with a non-mobile website content;
saving the association in a data facility;
receiving a request for the non-mobile website content from a mobile communication facility;
searching the data facility for the mobile website content associated with the non-mobile website content; and
presenting the mobile website content to the mobile communication facility.
2 . The method of claim 1 further comprising associating the mobile website content with the non-mobile website content based at least in part on wireless carrier data.
3 . The method of claim 2 wherein the wireless carrier data includes WAP gateway data.
4 . The method of claim 2 wherein the wireless carrier data includes mobile server gateway data.
5 . The method of claim 2 wherein the wireless carrier data includes server gateway data.
6 . The method of claim 2 wherein the wireless carrier data includes a remote server data.
7 . The method of claim 1 wherein the association is established by a self-submission of a mobile website owner.
8 . The method of claim 7 wherein the self-submission includes an identifier of a non-mobile website with which a mobile website has a relationship.
9 . The method of claim 7 wherein the self-submission includes a plurality of identifiers of non-mobile websites with which a mobile website has a relationship.
10 . The method of claim 1 wherein the association is established by spidering content.
11 . The method of claim 10 wherein a self-submission is related to a paid inclusion service.
12 . The method of claim 10 wherein the spidering is an automated process of traversing webpages beginning at one or more root pages on a website and traversing a links from those pages.
13 . The method of claim 1 wherein the association is established based at least in part on contextual information associated with the website.
14 . The method of claim 13 wherein the contextual information is a link structure.
15 . The method of claim 13 wherein the contextual information is a inbound link.
16 . The method of claim 13 wherein the contextual information is a outbound link.
17 . The method of claim 13 wherein the contextual information is a link.
18 . The method of claim 13 wherein the contextual information is a text.
19 . The method of claim 13 wherein the contextual information is a keyword.
20 . The method of claim 13 wherein the contextual information is a meta data.
21 . The method of claim 1 wherein the association is established based at least in part on a comparison of contextual information associated with a plurality of websites.
22 . The method of claim 1 wherein the association is established based at least in part on an indicator of website quality.
23 . The method of claim 1 wherein the data facility is further associated with a mobile subscriber characteristics database.
24 . The method of claim 1 wherein the data facility is further associated with a user transaction database.
25 . The method of claim 1 wherein the data facility is further associated with a usage history database.
