Abstract

A container assembly has a first container that operably houses a second container. The first container is configured to hold a first flowable substance, and the second container is configured to hold a second flowable substance. The second container is rupturable, preferably by manipulation through the first container, wherein the second flowable substance can mix with the first flowable substance to form a mixture. The first container is also rupturable to dispense the mixture therefrom.

Claims (8)

1. A container assembly comprising:

a first container defining a first chamber and configured to hold a first flowable substance in the first chamber, the first container having a membrane having a weld seam;

a second container configured to hold a second flowable substance, the second container positioned in the first chamber, the second container having a fusion-molded seam,

wherein upon rupturing of the fusion molded seam, the second flowable substance mixes with the first flowable substance to define a mixture, wherein upon rupturing the weld seam, the mixture is dispensable from the first container, wherein the first container further defines a second chamber where upon rupturing the weld seam, the mixture passes from the first chamber to the second chamber to be dispensed from the first container, and one of a dropper and a swab is in fluid communication with the second chamber.

2. The container assembly of claim 1 wherein the first container and the second container are generally cylindrical.

3. The container assembly of claim 1 wherein the membrane has a thickness and the weld seam has a thickness less than the membrane thickness.

4. The container assembly of claim 1 wherein the second container is rupturable via force applied to the first container and the membrane is rupturable via force applied proximate the membrane.

5. The container assembly of claim 1 wherein the second container is moveable within the first chamber.
