Abstract

A method comprises grouping a plurality of items into a first group for purposes of aggregately pricing each of the plurality of items, sending a first price of a first and a second of the plurality of items in the first group for sale from a processor to one or more clients over a network, determining if a predetermined amount of time has lapsed without the processor having received one or more orders for the first or second item at the first price from one or more of the clients, pricing the first and second of the plurality of items in the first group at a second price with the processor, the second price being lower than the first, and sending the second price over the network to one or more clients.

Claims (10)

1 . A method, comprising:

grouping a plurality of items into a first group for purposes of aggregately pricing each of the plurality of items;

sending a first price of a first and a second of the plurality of items in the first group for sale from a processor to one or more clients over a network;

determining if a predetermined amount of time has lapsed without the processor having received one or more orders for the first or second item at the first price from one or more of the clients,

pricing the first and second of the plurality of items in the first group at a second price with the processor, the second price being lower than the first;

and sending the second price over the network to one or more clients.

2 . The method of claim 1 and further comprising determining if the processor has received one or more orders for the first or second item at the first price when the predetermined time has lapsed and pricing the first and second of the plurality of items in the first group

3 . The method of claim 2 further comprising receiving one or more orders for the first or second item at the first price from one or more of the clients and delivering the first or second item to the one or more clients that ordered the first or second item at the first price.

4 . The method of claim 1 further comprising receiving one or more orders for the first or second item at the second price and delivering the first or second item to the one or more clients that ordered the first or second item at the second price.

5 . The method of claim 4 and further comprising pricing the first and second of the plurality of items in the first group at a third price with the processor, the third price being higher than the second and sending the third price over the network to one or more clients.
