Abstract

Preferred embodiments of the invention provide systems and methods for facilitating user thinking about an arbitrary problem with at least one of multidimensional analysis and related analysis, or both.

instructions to facilitate specification of analysis to specify at least one analysis structure related to the problem or conclusion or both;

instructions to construct a resulting user model structure;

instructions to relate at least one analysis construct to at least one other analysis construct;

instructions to specify linkages or relationships of components of a user model structure;

instructions to display, instructions to store or instructions to output at least a subset of the resulting user structure, or combination thereof.

2. The system of claim 1 further comprising at least one processor.

3. The system of claim 1 further comprising instructions that at least one analysis structure is the result of a system generated suggestion.

4. The system of claim 1 further comprising instructions for facilitation that comprises multiple or alternative paths of facilitation, or both.

5. The system of claim 1 further comprising instructions for specifying at least one analysis construct that is a complex or multidimensional or combinatorial analysis construct.

6. The system of claim 1 further comprising instructions for specifying at least one analysis construct that is comprised of at least one other analysis construct.

7. The system of claim 1 further comprising that at least one analysis construct references or is associated with, or both, at least one other analysis construct.

8. The system of claim 1 further comprising instructions to evaluate the specification relative to an archetype process or archetype structure for exemplary problem solving, or both.

9. The system of claim 1 further comprising instructions for three dimensional representation or display, or both.

10. The system of claim 1 further comprising instructions to provide preformatted analysis construct types.

11. The system of claim 1 further comprising instructions for at least one analysis construct that is comprised of a proxy object or component, or both, that incorporates external software tools or information sources, or both.

12. A system for facilitating and documenting user thinking about an arbitrary problem, based on exemplary approaches used by expert problem solvers, with regard especially to at least one of analysis or synthesis or both, said system comprising:

an interface;

a process manager system operable to execute on one or more processors, to execute activities comprising:

facilitation of user specification of at least one problem or at least one conclusion, or both, related to an arbitrary problem;

facilitation of specification of analysis to specify at least one analysis structure related to the problem or conclusion or both;

construction of a resulting user model structure;

relation of at least one analysis construct to at least one other analysis construct;

specification of linkages or relationships of components of a user model structure;

display, storage or output at least a subset of the resulting user structure, or a combination thereof.

13. The system of claim 12 further comprising that at least one analysis structure is the result of a system generated suggestion.

14. The system of claim 12 further comprising that the facilitation comprises multiple or alternative paths of facilitation, or both.

15. The system of claim 12 further comprising activities that comprise specifying at least one analysis construct that is a complex or multidimensional or combinatorial analysis construct.

17. The system of claim 12 further comprising that at least one analysis construct references or is associated with, or both, at least one other analysis construct.

18. The system of claim 12 further comprising activities that comprise evaluating the specification relative to an archetype process or archetype structure for exemplary problem solving, or both.

19. The system of claim 12 further comprising three dimensional representation or display, or both.

20. The system of claim 12 further comprising activities that comprise providing preformatted analysis construct types.

21. The system of claim 12 further comprising activities that comprise providing at least one analysis construct that is comprised of a proxy object or component, or both, that incorporates external software tools or information sources, or both.

22. A system for facilitating and documenting user thinking about an arbitrary problem, based on exemplary approaches used by expert problem solvers, with regard especially to at least one of analysis or synthesis or both, said system comprising:

at least one of a non-transitory computer readable media, computer readable device, or memory, or a combination thereof, having processor executable instructions comprising:

instructions to facilitate specification of at least one problem or at least one conclusion, or both, related to an arbitrary problem;

instructions to facilitate specification of analysis to specify at least one analysis structure related to the problem or conclusion or both, said facilitation or specification of analysis conducted utilizing an archetype structure or an archetype process for exemplary thinking about an arbitrary problem, or both;
