View Patent ↗An optical recording medium having excellent light resistance that includes a substrate; and a recording layer which is provided on the substrate directly or on another layer provided on the substrate, wherein the recording layer is capable of recording and/or reading information by irradiating light thereon, the recording layer includes a metal complex compound with an azo compound having a coupler component with indandione and a diazo component with a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic aromatic ring structure, and a nickel or cobalt ion coordinated to the azo compound.
1. An optical recording medium comprising:
a substrate; and
a recording layer which is provided on the substrate directly or on another layer provided on the substrate, wherein the recording layer is capable of recording and/or reading information by irradiating light thereon,
wherein the recording layer comprises a metal complex compound comprising an azo compound represented by formula [I]:
and a nickel or cobalt ion coordinated to the azo compound.
2. The optical recording medium according to claim 1 , wherein the nickel ion is coordinated to the azo compound.
3. The optical recording medium according to claim 1 , wherein the cobalt ion is coordinated to the azo compound.
4. An optical recording medium comprising:
a substrate; and
a recording layer which is provided on the substrate directly or on another layer provided on the substrate, wherein the recording layer is capable of recording and/or reading information by irradiating light thereon,
wherein the recording layer comprises a metal complex compound comprising an azo compound having a coupler component with indandione and a diazo component with a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic aromatic ring structure, and a nickel ion coordinated to the azo compound.
5. The optical recording medium according to claim 4 , wherein the nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring of the diazo component is a five- or six-membered monocyclic or a dicyclic condensed ring.
6. The optical recording medium according to claim 4 , wherein the nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring of the diazo component is isoxazole, triazole, oxazole, thiadiazole, pyrazole, pyridine, pyrimidine, imidazole, thiazole, isothiazole, benzothiazole, benzisoxazole, benzoxazole, or benzimidazole.
