Abstract

An analytical device according to the present invention comprises a liquid accommodating chamber 9 for accommodating a sample solution of a quantity required for analyzing; a volume measuring chamber 10 connected to the liquid accommodating chamber 9 with a connecting path 13 and disposed in the exterior of the liquid accommodating chamber 9 in a radial direction; an overflowing chamber 11 connected to the volume measuring chamber 10 for accommodating an excessive quantity of the sample solution; and a measuring cell 12 for transferring and measuring the sample solution measured in the volume measuring chamber 10 ; wherein an overflowing port 14 of the volume measuring chamber 10 is connected to a flow-in port 16 of the overflowing chamber 11 by a capillary path 17.

Claims (6)

1. A centrifugal analytical device comprising a rotary base which includes:

a liquid accommodating chamber for accommodating a quantity of a sample solution required for analyzing;

a volume measuring chamber for retaining a specified quantity of a sample solution, connected to the liquid accommodating chamber by a connecting path, and located radially outside the liquid accommodating chamber; and

an overflow chamber connected to the volume measuring chamber for accommodating a quantity of a sample solution exceeding the specified quantity, wherein

the volume measuring chamber includes a radially inner wall surface and an outer wall surface located radially outside the inner wall, a sample solution flow-in port and an overflowing port separately located in the inner wall surface of the volume measuring chamber, the sample solution flow-in port for permitting a sample solution from the liquid accommodating chamber to flow via the connecting path, for passing sample solution exceeding in volume the specified quantity of the volume measuring chamber through the overflow port to the overflow chamber, the flow-in port of the overflow chamber is radially inward from the overflow port of the volume measuring chamber, and connected to the overflow port by a capillary flow path, and the inner wall of the volume measuring chamber decreases in radial distance from the rotational center of the rotary base from the sample solution flow-in port toward the overflowing port.

2. The centrifugal analytical device according to claim 1 , wherein the overflowing port of the volume measuring chamber is connected to the flow-in port of the overflowing chamber via an overflow controlling chamber which is radially inward from the volume measuring chamber and the overflowing chamber.
