Abstract

A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes an imaging condition setting unit and an image data acquisition unit. The imaging condition setting unit sets an imaging condition applying first and second suppression pulses of which at least ones of types, center frequencies and frequency bands are different from each other. The first and the second suppression pulses frequency-selectively suppress at least one of fat and silicone. The image data acquisition unit acquires image data according to the imaging condition.

Claims (46)

1. A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus comprising:

an imaging condition setting unit configured to set an imaging condition applying a first suppression pulse and a second suppression pulse each frequency-selectively suppressing at least one of fat and silicone; and

an image data acquisition unit configured to acquire image data according to the imaging condition,

wherein the first and second suppression pulses are successively applied prior to an associated imaging pulse sequence,

the first suppression pulse suppresses a signal of the at least one of fat and silicone, and

the second suppression pulse further suppresses the signal remaining after application of the first suppression pulse.

2. A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus of claim 1 ,

wherein the second suppression pulse has a same frequency as that of the first suppression pulse.

3. A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus of claim 1 ,

wherein the second suppression pulse has at least one of a center frequency different from that of the first suppression pulse and a frequency band different from that of the first suppression pulse.

4. A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus of claim 1 ,

wherein said imaging condition setting unit is configured to set the imaging condition by setting the first suppression pulse and the second suppression pulse to different respective frequencies.

5. A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus of claim 1 ,

wherein said imaging condition setting unit is configured to set the imaging condition by setting a third suppression pulse having a same frequency as that of the first suppression pulse and a frequency different from that of the second suppression pulse.

6. A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus of claim 1 ,

wherein said imaging condition setting unit is configured to be able to set an imaging condition for a pre-scan for plural data acquisitions by changing a frequency of at least one of the second suppression pulse and the first suppression pulse.

7. A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus comprising:

an imaging condition setting unit configured to set an imaging condition applying a first suppression pulse and a second suppression pulse frequency-selectively suppressing target signals; and

an image data acquisition unit configured to acquire image data according to the imaging condition,

wherein the first and second suppression pulses are successively applied prior to an associated imaging pulse sequence,

the first suppression pulse suppresses the target signals, and

the second suppression pulse further suppresses the target signals remaining after application of the first suppression pulse.

8. A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus comprising:

an imaging unit configured to perform an imaging sequence after applying mutually different types of fat-saturation pulses; and

a reconstruction unit configured to reconstruct an image based on magnetic resonance signals obtained by the imaging sequence,

wherein said imaging unit is configured to successively apply at least a first suppression pulse and at least a second suppression pulse prior to an imaging pulse sequence as the different type of fat-saturation pulses,

a first suppression pulse being applied for suppressing a fat signal, and

a second suppression pulse being applied for further suppressing the fat signal remaining after application of the first suppression pulse(s).

9. A magnetic resonance imaging method comprising:

performing an imaging sequence after applying a plurality of mutually different types of fat-saturation pulses; and

reconstructing an image based on magnetic resonance signals obtained by the imaging sequence,

wherein at least a first suppression pulse and at least a second suppression pulse are successively applied prior to an imaging pulse sequence as the different types of fat-saturation pulses,

a first suppression pulse being applied for suppressing a fat signal, and

a second suppression pulse being applied for further suppressing the fat signal remaining after application of the first suppression pulse(s).

10. A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus comprising:

an imaging condition setting unit configured to set a magnetic resonance imaging condition applying a first suppression pulse and a second suppression pulse of which at least one of types, center frequencies and frequency bands are different from each other, the first and the second suppression pulses each frequency-selectively suppressing at least one of fat and silicone, said second suppression pulse further suppressing what remains of said fat and silicone after the application of said first suppression pulse; and

an imaging data acquisition unit configured to acquire image data according to the imaging condition by applying at least both said first and second differing suppression pulses as a preparatory part of an imaging sequence.

11. A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus comprising:

an imaging condition setting unit configured to set a magnetic resonance imaging condition applying a first suppression pulse and a second suppression pulse of which at last one of types, center frequencies and frequency bands are different from each other, the first and the second suppression pulses each frequency-selectively suppressing target signals, said second suppression pulse further suppressing what remains of said target signal after the application of said first suppression pulse; and

an image data acquisition unit configured to acquire image data according to the imaging condition by applying at least both said first and second differing suppression pulses as a preparatory part of an imaging sequence.

12. A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus comprising:
