Multiple player slot machine game system
View Patent ↗Systems and methods for playing live casino games. The systems have changeable displays which portray virtual symbols to live participants. Assignment of symbols are accomplished using data processing functions within an electronic game processor or processors which enable these functions to be performed. The invention allows casinos to speed play and reduce the risk of cheating while allowing multiple participants to play a multiple participant capable slot machine.
1. A system forming a slot machine game having the ability to allow multiple participants to personally and simultaneously attend the slot machine game system thereabout, comprising:
plural participant video displays provided on an approximately planar game table and providing changeable visual data to at least one playing participant;
slot symbols displayed on said plural participant video displays which vary during play of the slot machine game to include winning slot symbol groups and losing slot symbol groups;
a single central game processor connected to the participant video displays for controlling said participant video displays to display said slot symbols assigned to playing participants; and
wherein said slot symbols assigned to playing participants comprise separate participant symbol subsets, each participant symbol subset having a slot symbol group that the single central game processor can vary independently from participant symbol subsets assigned to other participants and wherein the slot symbols are associated with virtual playing cards displayed on the plural participant video displays in a virtual card game that is controlled by the single central processor and played simultaneously with the slot machine game.
2. A system according to claim 1 , further comprising a pay line display for the slot symbols for a participant which is responsive to commands from the single central game processor.
3. A system according to claim 1 , wherein the single central game processor for processing data to further perform by indicating when a participant receives a payoff in response to receiving a winning slot symbol group.
4. A system according to claim 1 , further comprising a pay line display for displaying any participant slot symbols, responsive to commands from the game processor, the pay line display being a part of single central participant video display.
5. A system according to claim 1 , wherein the single central game processor additionally performs by recording game action to enable subsequent analysis or replay.
6. A system according to claim 1 , further comprising one or more participant identification readers coupled to the single central game processor.

A system according to claim 1 , further comprising one or more participant identification readers coupled to the single central game processor, wherein the one or more participant identification readers include a capability for reading coded data indicating security information from the identification card.
8. A system according to claim 1 , further comprising one or more participant identification readers coupled to the single central game processor, wherein the one or more participant identification readers include a capability for reading a smart card to determine an available credit amount regarding credit purchased from a casino associated with the gaming table.
9. A system according to claim 1 , further comprising at least one chip sensor for detecting betting chips placed by the at least one live player, each betting chip including a transponder and wherein the at least one chip sensor is capable of reading said transponder.
10. A system according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one participant video display provides participant display images which include a border portion of the display which indicates outcome of the slot machine game for the participant.
11. A system according to claim 1 , and further comprising at least one participant identification reader for reading identification of at least one participant using a sensor which detects biological information from a body of the participant.
12. A system forming a slot machine game having the ability to allow multiple participants to personally and simultaneously attend the slot machine game system thereabout, comprising:
at least one central display for displaying information pertinent to play of the slot machine game;
plural participant video displays provided on an approximately planar game table and arranged in a arrangement about the central display providing changeable visual data to at least one playing participant;
slot symbols displayed on said plural participant video displays which vary during play of the slot machine game to include winning slot symbol groups and losing slot symbol groups;
a single central game processor connected to the participant video displays and at least one central display for controlling images therefrom; and
wherein said slot symbols assigned to playing participants comprise separate participant symbol subsets, each participant symbol subset having a slot symbol group that the single central game processor can vary independently from participant symbol subsets assigned to other participants and wherein the slot symbols are associated with virtual playing cards displayed on the plural participant video displays in a virtual card game that is controlled by the single central processor and played simultaneously with the slot machine game.
13. A system according to claim 12 , further comprising a pay line display for the slot symbols for a participant which is responsive to commands from the single central game processor.
14. A system according to claim 12 , wherein the single central game processor for processing data to further perform by indicating when a participant receives a payoff in response to receiving a winning slot symbol group.
15. A system according to claim 12 , wherein the single central game processor additionally performs by recording game action to enable subsequent analysis or replay.
16. A system according to claim 12 , further comprising one or more participant identification readers coupled to the single central game processor.
17. A system according to claim 12 , further comprising one or more participant identification readers coupled to the single central game processor, wherein the one or more participant identification readers include a capability for reading a magnetic code.
18. A system according to claim 12 , wherein the at least one participant video display provides participant display images which include a border portion of the display which indicates outcome of the slot machine game.
19. A system according to claim 12 , wherein the at least one participant video display provides participant display images which include a border portion of the display which indicates outcome of the slot machine game for the respective player and the participant video display is positioned to allow an overhead camera to record a state of the display.
20. A system according to claim 12 , and further comprising at least one participant identification reader for reading identification of at least one participant using a sensor which detects biological information from a body of the participant.
