Abstract

The invention provides antibodies that specifically bind to OX40 (CD134), referred to as OX40 antibodies, anti-OX40 or anti-OX40 antibodies. Invention antibodies that specifically bind to OX40 include mammalian (human, primate, etc.), humanized and chimeric anti-OX40 antibodies. Invention antibodies and antibody subsequences (fragments) that specifically bind to OX40 include purified and isolated antibodies, as well as pharmaceutical formulations thereof, are useful in various methods including treatment, screening and detection methods.

Claims (12)

1. An isolated or purified monoclonal antibody that specifically binds to an epitope in an amino acid sequence OX40 extracellular domain, wherein the antibody comprises all complementarily determining regions (CDRs) of heavy chain variable region sequence in SEQ ID NO:9 and all complementarity determining regions (CDRs) of light chain variable region sequence in SEQ ID NO:10.

2. An isolated or purified monoclonal antibody that specifically binds to an epitope in an amino acid sequence OX40 extracellular domain, wherein the antibody comprises heavy chain and light chain variable region sequences, wherein the heavy chain variable region sequence comprises the mature heavy chain variable region sequence in SEQ ID NO:9.

3. An isolated or purified monoclonal antibody that comprises the mature heavy chain variable region sequence in SEQ ID NO:9 and complementarity determining regions (CDRs) of the chain variable region sequence in SEQ ID NO:10 and specifically binds to an epitope in an amino acid sequence OX40 extracellular domain.

4. An isolated or purified monoclonal antibody that specifically binds to an epitope in an amino acid sequence OX40 extracellular domain, wherein the antibody comprises the mature heavy chain variable region sequence in SEQ ID NO: 9 and mature light chain variable region sequence in SEQ NO:10, or an antigen binding fragment of mature heavy chain variable region sequence in SEQ ID NO:9 and mature light chain variable region sequence in SEQ ID NO:10.

5. A pharmaceutical composition comprising the monoclonal antibody of any of claims 1 , 2 , 3 , or 4 , and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or excipient.

6. An antigen binding fragment of the antibody of any of claims 1 , 2 , 3 , or 4 , wherein the antigen binding fragment is selected from Fab, Fab′, F(ab′) 2 , Fv, Fd, single-chain Fvs (scFv), disulfide-linked Fvs (sdFv) and V L and V H .

7. The monoclonal antibody of any of claims 1 , 2 , 3 , or 4 , wherein the OX40 is human.

8. The monoclonal antibody of any of claims 1 , 2 , 3 , or 4 , wherein the OX40 comprises a sequence:

9. The monoclonal antibody of any of claims 1 , 2 , 3 , or 4 , wherein the monoclonal antibody is an IgG 1, IgG2, IgG3, IgG4, IgA, IgE, or IgD isotype.

10. The monoclonal antibody of any of claims 1 , 2 , 3 , or 4 , wherein the monoclonal antibody reduces or decreases a symptom of graft versus host disease in an acute or chronic xenograft host disease model, or wherein the antibody causes a remission or regression of graft versus host disease in an acute or chronic xenograft host disease model.

11. An isolated or purified monoclonal antibody that specifically binds to an epitope in an amino acid sequence OX40 extracellular domain, wherein the antibody comprises the mature heavy chain variable region sequence in SEQ ID NO:9 and the mature light chain variable region sequence in SEQ ID NO:10.
