Abstract

A toy with a springable cord and an object at the other end of the cord, which object can be a ball of many kinds, or a device covering a ball. The ball may include electronics therein that are actuated when the ball is hit against a surface.

Claims (21)

1. An apparatus, comprising:

a limb attachment part, having inner surfaces adapted to surround a limb of the user;

an object, having a connection portion attached thereto, said object including a solid core ball, and a connection portion allowing connection; and

an elastic cord, coupled at a first end to said limb attachment part, and coupled at an other end to said connection portion of said object, wherein said object includes a cover over the object, and said connection portion connects to the cover and not to the ball, and wherein the cover is in the shape of a figurine.

2. An apparatus as in claim 1 , further comprising an electronic enunciator that produces a sound during an interacting with the ball, said sound of a type that might be produced by the figurine, where a first sound is associated with a first figurine, and a second sound different than the first sound is associated with the second figurine.

3. An apparatus, comprising:

a limb attachment part, having inner surfaces adapted to surround a limb of the user;

an ball shaped object, having a connection portion attached thereto, said object including a solid core ball, and a connection portion allowing connection to the solid core ball, wherein the connection portion is through a bore in the ball, and further comprising a plurality of additional bore locations within the ball, in areas that are symmetric to the first bore location, wherein each of said bore and said additional bore locations are spaced from a center of gravity of the ball shaped object;

an elastic cord, coupled at a first end to said limb attachment part, and coupled at an other end to said connection portion of said object.

4. An apparatus as in claim 3 , wherein said object also includes at least one electronic detector which detects a specified kind of movement, and at least one electronic enunciator which produces a perceivable change responsive to said specified kind of movement being detected.

5. An apparatus as in claim 4 , wherein said electronic detector is an acceleration detector.

6. An apparatus as in claim 5 , wherein said electronic enunciator produces a sound.

7. An apparatus as in claim 4 , wherein the electronic enunciator is a counter.

8. An apparatus as in claim 4 ,wherein the electronic enunciator includes a light.

9. An apparatus as in claim 3 , wherein a connection between said elastic cord and said limb attachment part forms a first connection, and a second connection is formed between said elastic cord and said object, further comprising first and second protective sleeves formed of shrinkable material, and covering said first and second connection parts.

10. An apparatus as in claim 3 , wherein said connection portion is on an outer 25% of the diameter of the ball.

11. An apparatus as in claim 3 , wherein said connection point is in an outer ¼″ of the ball.

12. An apparatus as in claim 3 , wherein said object includes a cover over the object, and said connection portion connects only to the cover and not to the object itself.

13. An apparatus as in claim 12 , wherein the cover is in the shape of a figurine.

14. An apparatus as in claim 13 , wherein the electronic enunciator produces a sound, of a type that might be produced by the figurine.

15. An apparatus as in claim 3 , wherein the ball is deformable in shape, and maintains at least part of a deformed shape.
