Abstract

Methods, apparatuses, computer program products, devices and systems are described that carry out accepting user data from an interaction between a user and at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing; mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one user-health test function set; accepting brain activity measurement data proximate to the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing; and selecting at least one user-health test function at least partly based on the at least one user-health test function set and the brain activity measurement data.

Claims (99)

1 . A method comprising:

accepting user data from an interaction between a user and at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing;

mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one user-health test function set;

accepting brain activity measurement data proximate to the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing; and

selecting at least one user-health test function at least partly based on the at least one user-health test function set and the brain activity measurement data.

2 . The method of claim 1 wherein the accepting user data from an interaction between a user and at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing comprises:

accepting user input data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing.

3 . The method of claim 1 wherein the accepting user data from an interaction between a user and at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing comprises:

accepting passive user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing.

4 . The method of claim 1 wherein the accepting user data from an interaction between a user and at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing comprises:

accepting user reaction time data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing.

5 . The method of claim 1 wherein the accepting user data from an interaction between a user and at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing comprises:

accepting user speech or voice data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing.

6 . The method of claim 1 wherein the accepting user data from an interaction between a user and at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing comprises:

accepting user hearing data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing.

7 . The method of claim 1 wherein the accepting user data from an interaction between a user and at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing comprises:

accepting user body movement, pupil movement, or eye movement data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing.

8 . The method of claim 1 wherein the accepting user data from an interaction between a user and at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing comprises:

accepting user face movement data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing.

9 . The method of claim 1 wherein the accepting user data from an interaction between a user and at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing comprises:

accepting user keystroke data relating to an interaction between a user and at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing.

10 . The method of claim 1 wherein the accepting user data from an interaction between a user and at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing comprises:

accepting user pointing device manipulation data relating to an interaction between a user and at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing.

11 . The method of claim 1 wherein the accepting user data from an interaction between a user and at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing comprises:

accepting user data from the interaction between the user and at least one device-implemented game.

12 . The method of claim 1 wherein the accepting user data from an interaction between a user and at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing comprises:

accepting user data from an interaction between a user and at least one device-implemented communications application.

13 . The method of claim 1 wherein the accepting user data from an interaction between a user and at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing comprises:

accepting user data relating to an interaction between a user and at least one device-implemented security application.

14 . The method of claim 1 wherein the accepting user data from an interaction between a user and at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing comprises:

accepting user data relating to an interaction between a user and at least one device-implemented productivity application.

15 . The method of claim 1 wherein the mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one user-health test function set comprises:

mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one mental status test function set.

16 . The method of claim 1 wherein the mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one user-health test function set comprises:

mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one cranial nerve test function set.

17 . The method of claim 1 wherein the mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one user-health test function set comprises:

mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one cerebellum test function set.

18 . The method of claim 1 wherein the mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one user-health test function set comprises:

mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one alertness or attention test function set.

19 . The method of claim 1 wherein the mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one user-health test function set comprises:

mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one visual field test function set.

20 . The method of claim 1 wherein the mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one user-health test function set comprises:

mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one neglect or construction test function set.

21 . The method of claim 1 wherein the mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one user-health test function set comprises:

mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one memory test function set.

22 . The method of claim 1 wherein the mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one user-health test function set comprises:

mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one speech or voice test function set.

23 . The method of claim 1 wherein the mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one user-health test function set comprises:

mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one body movement, eye movement, or pupil movement test function set.

24 . The method of claim 1 wherein the mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one user-health test function set comprises:

mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one face pattern test function set.

25 . The method of claim 1 wherein the mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one user-health test function set comprises:

mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one calculation test function set.

26 . The method of claim 1 wherein the mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one user-health test function set comprises:

mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one task sequencing test function set.

27 . The method of claim 1 wherein the mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one user-health test function set comprises:

28 . The method of claim 1 wherein the mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one user-health test function set comprises:

mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one motor skill test function set.

29 . The method of claim 1 wherein the accepting brain activity measurement data proximate to the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing comprises:

accepting functional near infrared imaging data proximate to the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing.

30 . The method of claim 1 wherein the accepting brain activity measurement data proximate to the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing comprises:

accepting at least one of electroencephalography data, computed axial tomography data, positron emission tomography data, magnetic resonance imaging data, functional magnetic resonance imaging data, functional near-infrared imaging data, or magnetoencephalography data proximate to the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing.

31 . The method of claim 1 wherein the accepting brain activity measurement data proximate to the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing comprises:

accepting at least one of frontopolar cortex data, prefrontal cortex data, ventral striatum data, orbitofrontal prefrontal cortex data, amygdala data, or nucleus accumbens data proximate to the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing.

32 . The method of claim 1 wherein the accepting brain activity measurement data proximate to the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing comprises:

accepting at least one of dorsolateral prefrontal cortex data, posterior parietal cortex data, occipital cortex data, or left premotor area data proximate to the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing.

33 . The method of claim 1 wherein the accepting brain activity measurement data proximate to the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing comprises:

accepting at least one of inferior precuneus data, posterior cingulate data, right parietal cortex data, right superior frontal gyrus data, or right supramarginal gyrus data proximate to the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing.

34 . The method of claim 1 wherein the selecting at least one user-health test function at least partly based on the at least one user-health test function set and the brain activity measurement data comprises:

selecting a naming test function at least partly based on the at least one user-health test function set and the brain activity measurement data.

35 . The method of claim 1 wherein the selecting at least one user-health test function at least partly based on the at least one user-health test function set and the brain activity measurement data comprises:

selecting a short-term memory test function at least partly based on the at least one user-health test function set and the brain activity measurement data.

36 . The method of claim 1 wherein the selecting at least one user-health test function at least partly based on the at least one user-health test function set and the brain activity measurement data comprises:

selecting a perseveration test function at least partly based on the at least one user-health test function set and the brain activity measurement data.

37 . The method of claim 1 wherein the selecting at least one user-health test function at least partly based on the at least one user-health test function set and the brain activity measurement data comprises:

selecting the at least one user-health test function at least partly based on at least one best-fit analysis of the user-health test function set and the brain activity measurement data.

38 . The method of claim 1 wherein the selecting at least one user-health test function at least partly based on the at least one user-health test function set and the brain activity measurement data comprises:

selecting the at least one user-health test function at least partly based on one or more user-defined criteria and the brain activity measurement data.

77 . A computer program product comprising:

a signal-bearing medium bearing

(a) one or more instructions for accepting user data from an interaction between a user and at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing;

(b) one or more instructions for mapping the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one user-health test function set;

(c) one or more instructions for accepting brain activity measurement data proximate to the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing; and

(d) one or more instructions for selecting at least one user-health test function at least partly based on the at least one user-health test function set and the brain activity measurement data.

78 . The computer program product of claim 77 , wherein the signal-bearing medium includes a computer-readable medium.

79 . The computer program product of claim 77 , wherein the signal-bearing medium includes a recordable medium.

80 . The computer program product of claim 77 , wherein the signal-bearing medium includes a communications medium.

81 . A system comprising:

a computing device; and

instructions that when executed on the computing device cause the computing device to

(a) accept user data from an interaction between a user and at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing;

(b) map the user data from the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing to at least one user-health test function set;

(c) accept brain activity measurement data proximate to the interaction between the user and the at least one device-implemented application unrelated to user-health testing; and

(d) select at least one user-health test function at least partly based on the at least one user-health test function set and the brain activity measurement data.

82 . The system of claim 81 wherein the computing device comprises:

one or more of a personal digital assistant (PDA), a personal entertainment device, a mobile phone, a laptop computer, a tablet personal computer, a networked computer, a computing system comprised of a cluster of processors, a computing system comprised of a cluster of servers, a workstation computer, and/or a desktop computer.

83 . The system of claim 81 wherein the computing device is operable to accept user data in response to the interaction between the user and the at least one application and accept brain activity measurement data proximate to the interaction from at least one memory.
