Abstract

Substrates having formulations disposed thereon, wherein the formulations have improved transfer rates from the substrate to skin, are disclosed herein. More particularly, the formulations can be applied to nonwoven, particularly elastomeric substrates, as well as tissue paper, and can be easily and efficiently transferred from the substrate to the skin of a user upon intimate contact thereto. Laminated articles using one or more of the substrates having the formulations disposed thereon are further disclosed.

Claims (8)

1. An elastomeric substrate comprising a formulation comprising from 15% to 60% (by weight formulation) of dimethicone silicone oil, wherein the dimethicone silicone oil has a viscosity of from 10 cst to 8,000 cst, and from 5% to 40% (by weight formulation) of water, wherein the formulation has a transfer rate of at least 25% when the viscosity of the formulation is 8,000 cP or greater.

2. The elastomeric substrate as set forth in claim 1 wherein the substrate includes at least 10% w/w formulation.

3. The elastomeric substrate as set forth in claim 1 wherein the formulation is a water-in-silicone emulsion.

4. The elastomeric substrate as set forth in claim 1 wherein the formulation comprises from 15% to 57% (by weight formulation) of dimethicone silicone oil.

5. The elastomeric substrate as set forth in claim 1 wherein the formulation comprises from 15% to 35% (by weight formulation) of dimethicone silicone oil.

6. The elastomeric substrate as set forth in claim 4 wherein the formulation further comprises cyclopentasiloxane, PEG-10 dimethicone and distearyldimonium hectorite.

7. The elastomeric substrate as set forth in claim 1 wherein the formulation comprises from 45% to 50% (by weight formulation) of dimethicone silicone oil and from 30% to 40% (by weight formulation) of water.

8. The elastomeric substrate as set forth in claim 1 wherein the dimethicone silicone oil has a viscosity of from 10 cst to 350 cst.
