Abstract

Nucleic acids encoding mammalian, e.g., primate, receptors, purified receptor proteins and fragments thereof. Antibodies, both polyclonal and monoclonal, are also provided. Methods of using the compositions for both diagnostic and therapeutic utilities are described.

Claims (14)

1. A method of treating a human subject experiencing psoriasis or atopic dermatitis comprising administering an effective amount of an antagonist antibody that specifically binds to DCRS5 (SEQ ID NO: 2), or antigen binding fragment thereof.

2. The method of claim 1 wherein the antibody or binding fragment thereof comprises:

a) a polyclonal antibody;

b) a monoclonal antibody;

c) a humanized antibody; or

d) an Fab, Fv, or F(ab′)2 fragment.

3. The method of claim 1 wherein the human subject is experiencing psoriasis.

4. The method of claim 1 wherein the human subject is experiencing atopic dermatitis.

5. The method of claim 2 , wherein the antibody or binding fragment thereof comprises a polyclonal antibody.

6. The method of claim 2 , wherein the antibody or binding fragment thereof comprises a monoclonal antibody.

7. The method of claim 2 , wherein the antibody or binding fragment thereof comprises a humanized antibody.

8. The method of claim 2 , wherein the antibody or binding fragment thereof comprises an Fab, Fv, or F(ab′)2 antibody fragment of a polyclonal antibody.

9. The method of claim 2 , wherein the antibody or binding fragment thereof comprises an Fab, Fv, or F(ab′)2 antibody fragment of a monoclonal antibody.

10. The method of claim 2 , wherein the antibody or binding fragment thereof comprises an Fab, Fv, or F(ab′)2 antibody fragment of a humanized antibody.
