Abstract

Present invention is related to a composition for conditioning hair comprising two optically separated phases when standing at zero shear rate which becomes homogeneous upon shaking. The object of the present invention is a composition for hair comprising 5 to 50%, by weight oil phase, calculated to total composition, and 50 to 95%, by weight, aqueous phase, calculated to total composition, wherein oil phase comprises at least one arylated silicone. Further object of the invention is the use of the composition for conditioning hair.

Claims (27)

1 - A two phase composition for hair comprising 5 to 50% by weight oil phase, calculated to total composition, and 50 to 95%, by weight aqueous phase, calculated to total composition, wherein two phases are optically separated at zero shear rate and become homogeneous upon shaking and return to optically separated two phases upon release of agitation, wherein oil phase comprises at least one arylated silicone.

2 - The two-phase composition according to claim 1 wherein the arylated silicone is selected from the group consisting of phenyl methicone, phenyl trimethicone, diphenyl dimethicone, diphenylsiloxy phenyl trimethicone, tetramethyl tetraphenyl trisiloxane, triphenyl trimethicone, tetramethyl tetraphenyl trisiloxane and trimethyl pentaphenyl trisiloxane.

3 - The two-phase composition according to claim 2 wherein arylated silicone is trimethyl pentaphenyl trisiloxane.

4 - The two-phase composition according to claim 1 comprising at least two arylated silicones.

5 - The two-phase composition according to claim 1 wherein the arylated silicone is present at a concentration of 0.01 to 5% by weight calculated to total composition.

6 - The two-phase composition according to wherein the-oil phase comprises at least one volatile oil, the volatile oil being present in the oil phase at a concentration of 70 to 99.9% by weight calculated to content of the oil phase.

7 - The two-phase composition according to claim 1 further comprising at least one compound selected from compounds according to general formula

wherein R 1 is a phenyl and R 2 is H or a C1 to C4 alkyl and n is a number between 1 and 5 and compounds of dipropylene glycol dibenzoate and trimethylpentanediyl dibenzoate.

8 - The two-phase composition according to claim 1 wherein the aqueous phase comprises at least one fixing polymer present at a concentration of 0.1 to 20% by weight calculated to the content of aqueous phase.

9 - The two-phase composition according to claim 8 wherein fixing polymer in aqueous phase is selected from the group consisting of non-ionic, cationic and amphoteric polymers.

10 - The two-phase composition according to claim 1 wherein the aqueous phase comprises at least one water miscible organic solvent present at a concentration of 10 to 40% by weight calculated to the content of aqueous phase.

11 - The two-phase composition according to claim 1 wherein the aqueous phase comprises at least one cationic surfactant according to general formula
