Method and system for forming content in a fantasy sporting event
View Patent ↗A system and method providing a player specific content includes a user device, a player picker for selecting a plurality of players for different teams to form player selections and a content delivery network receiving the player selections, comparing metadata of stored highlight clips with the player picks and communicating highlight clips corresponding to the player picks to the user device.
1. A method comprising:
receiving player picks corresponding to a fantasy team of a user, the player picks including a plurality of different players from a plurality of different teams, the fantasy team of the user being a team in a fantasy sports league;
receiving an opponent fantasy team, the opponent fantasy team being in the fantasy sports league;
communicating the player picks to a content processing system;
determining a user score corresponding to fantasy points accrued by the fantasy team of the user and determining an opponent score corresponding to fantasy points accrued by the opponent fantasy team at the content processing system;
communicating the user score and the opponent score to a user device from the content processing system;
communicating a current or past score and game status to the user device from the content processing system;
displaying the communicated user score and the opponent score within a selectable fantasy chip of a score area on a display associated with the user device and simultaneously displaying the current or past score and game status in a selectable non-fantasy chip within the score area; and
changing the display by selecting the fantasy chip or non-fantasy chip or both.
2. A method as recited in claim 1 wherein displaying the user score and the opponent score comprises displaying the user score and the opponent score as an alert within a user interface.
3. A system comprising:
a content delivery network receiving player picks corresponding to a fantasy team of a user, the player picks including a plurality of different players from a plurality of different teams, the fantasy team of the user being a team in a fantasy sports league;
said content delivery network receiving an opponent fantasy team, the opponent fantasy team being in the fantasy sports league, determining a user score corresponding to fantasy points accrued by the fantasy team of the user, determining an opponent score corresponding to fantasy points accrued by the opponent fantasy team and deleting a current or past score and game status;
a user device having a display associated therewith receiving the user score and the opponent score to a user device and displaying the communicated user score and the opponent score within a selectable fantasy chip of a score area on the display and simultaneously displaying the current or past score and game status in a selectable non-fantasy chip within the score area; and
changing the display by selecting the fantasy chip or non-fantasy chip or both.
4. A method as recited in claim 3 wherein the user device displays the user score and the opponent score an alert within a user interface.
