Abstract

Provided is a printing cartridge for a printer. The cartridge includes an upper and a lower molding configured to engage cooperatively to define a chamber, and a hollow cylindrical former with print media rolled thereon to form a print medium roll. The cartridge also includes an ink cartridge in the form of a cylindrical container internally divided into ink reservoirs, said ink cartridge co-axially rotatable inside the former, as well as an elastomeric seal molding configured to arrange the ink reservoirs in fluid communication with a printhead of the printer.

Claims (9)

1. A printing cartridge for a printer, said cartridge comprising:

an upper and a lower molding configured to engage cooperatively to define a chamber;

a hollow cylindrical former with print media rolled thereon to form a print medium roll positioned inside the chamber;

an ink cartridge in the form of a cylindrical container internally divided into ink reservoirs, said ink cartridge co-axially rotatable inside the former; and

an elastomeric seal molding configured to arrange the ink reservoirs in fluid communication with a printhead of the printer wherein,

the elastomeric seal molding includes an ink collar molding for fitment onto an end of the ink cartridge, said seal molding having a fascia defining an inlet opening to facilitate engagement with an ink distribution assembly.

2. The printing cartridge of claim 1 , wherein the moldings include clips so that the moldings can be clipped together.
