A camera device that includes at least one lens is mounted to an opposite side of the body and a image sensor is configured to capture an image viewed through the lens. A printer is mounted within the body and includes a printhead and ink supply module. The printhead and ink supply module is mounted, in a replaceable manner, to the printer and is configured to print the captured image upon print media fed along the path.

Claims (12)

1. A mobile phone comprising:

an elongate body defining a transverse print media path there-through;

a keypad and display mounted on one side of the body;

a camera device including at least one lens mounted to another side of the body opposite said one side and an image sensor configured to capture an image viewed through said lens; and

a printer mounted within the body and including a printhead and ink supply module, the printhead and ink supply module mounted in a replaceable manner to the printer and configured to print the captured image upon print media fed along the path.

2. A mobile phone as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the printer includes a print media feed apparatus, in turn, including a motor and gear train which drive a series of feed rollers to feed the print media along the transverse path.

3. A mobile phone as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the captured image is printed responsive to print media being manually fed into the body.

4. A mobile phone as claimed in claim 3 , which includes a detachable dispenser with a manually operated slider mechanism to manually feed print media into the body, one sheet at a time.

5. A mobile phone as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the printhead spans the width of the path and remains stationary relative to the body during printing of the image.

6. A mobile phone as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the printhead and ink supply module includes an ink ejection printhead and an ink supply unit for supplying ink to the printhead.

7. A mobile phone as claimed in claim 6 , wherein the ink supply unit defines a plurality of separate ink supply chambers incorporating flow control baffles.

8. A mobile phone as claimed in claim 7 , wherein the ink supply unit further includes a molding defining converging ink flow nozzles that direct the ink to ink supply inlets of the printhead.
