Rotatable platen
View Patent ↗A rotatable platen for use in an inkjet printing device. The platen is arranged to rotate about a rotational axis and has a functional outer surface around the rotational axis. The surface has first and second portions. The first portion is adapted to support print media during a printing operation. The second portion is a printhead servicing region, which includes a stationary ink absorbing member.

A rotatable platen for use in an inkjet printing device, the platen being arranged to rotate about a rotational axis and having a functional outer surface disposed about the rotational axis, said surface having first and second portions, the first portion adapted to support print media during a printing operation, the second portion being a printhead servicing region comprising a stationary ink absorbing member.
2. A rotatable platen according to claim 1 , wherein the printhead servicing region has an opening in which the ink absorbing member is positioned.
3. A rotatable platen according to claim 1 , wherein the opening is a slot extending a length of the platen.
4. A rotatable platen according to claim 1 , wherein said ink absorbing member extends substantially a length of said platen.
5. A rotatable platen according to claim 1 comprising a third portion adapted to provide additional printhead servicing.
6. A rotatable platen according to claim 1 , wherein the third portion comprises a printhead capping member.
