Aircraft Rinse System
Disclosed is an aircraft rinse system for gently rinsing an aircraft engine even while the aircraft engines are on. The rinse deck has integral nozzles and water storage. Pressurized air can be used to force the water from the storage area in the deck to spray out nozzles that are integral to the deck.
1 . An aircraft rinse apparatus comprising:
a rinse deck comprising:
a plurality of interlocking extrusions including a storage extrusion, a firing extrusion, a nozzle extrusion and a rinse water collection trough wherein said firing section is in fluid communication with said nozzle section; and
an air pressure source in fluid communication with said firing extrusion; and
2 . The aircraft rinse apparatus of claim 1 further comprising:
at least one water cannon in fluid communication with the rinse deck.
3 . The aircraft rinse apparatus of claim 1 further comprising:
a sediment separation tank downstream of and in fluid communication with said rinse deck.
4 . The aircraft rinse apparatus of claim 1 further comprising:
a controller for controlling the flow of fluid from a molecular separator to the rinse deck and delivery of pressurized air to the rinse deck for rinsing operations.
5 . The aircraft rinse apparatus of claim 4 further comprising:
an imaging device capable of recognizing aircraft configurations in communication with the controller.
6 . The aircraft rinse apparatus of claim 1 further comprising:
at least one reverse osmosis water treatment unit in fluid communication with a molecular separator and the rinse deck.
7 . An aircraft rinse deck comprising:
at least one storage extrusion in fluid communication with a rinse fluid source;
at least one firing extrusion in fluid communication with said storage extrusion and in fluid communication with a pressurized air source;
at least one nozzle extrusion in fluid communication with said firing extrusion and including at least one nozzle detachably secured to said nozzle extrusion; and,
wherein said storage, firing and nozzle extrusions are detachably interlocked.
8 . The aircraft rinse deck of claim 7 further comprising:
at least one trough detachably secured to the rinse deck for the collection of used rinse fluid collected on the rinse deck.
9 . A method for rinsing an aircraft comprising:
providing a rinse deck comprising of at least one storage extrusion, at least one firing extrusion, and at least one nozzle extrusion wherein said nozzle extrusion includes at least one nozzle for spraying rinse fluid;
filling the rinse deck with rinse fluid;
rinsing an aircraft in position over the rinse deck wherein pressurized air is introduced into at least one firing extrusion thereby expelling rinse fluid from the firing extrusion into the nozzle extrusion and out one or more nozzles located on said nozzle extrusion and onto the aircraft to be rinsed.
10 . The method of claim 9 further comprising:
collecting the used rinse fluid from the rinse deck and recycling said used rinse fluid for reuse with a molecular separator.
11 . The method of claim 10 further comprising:
treating the recycled rinse fluid with a reverse osmosis unit prior to reintroduction of the treated rinse fluid to the rinse deck.
12 . A method of providing rinse water, said method comprising the steps of:
(a) providing a first liquid storage area having a rinse fluid;
(b) gravity feeding said rinse fluid to a second liquid storage area in communication with a pressurized air source;
(c) activating said pressurized air source thereby forcing said rinse fluid into a third liquid storage area having a plurality of nozzles, wherein said rinse fluid is forced through said nozzles.
