Abstract

A hydrophobic polymer well suited for applications such as general purpose coatings, ship coatings, fibers and sheets. The present invention is particularly well suited for making breathable, yet waterproof clothing.

Claims (5)

1 ) Hydrophobic polymer or co-polymer of the following structure:

Where R is a saturated or unsaturated, branched or linear alkyl group with from 5 to 22 carbons.

2 ) The invention of claim 1 where R is linear and saturated and 17 carbons.

3 ) The invention of claim 1 where R is linear and saturated and 9 carbons.

4 ) The invention of claim 1 where R is linear and saturated and 11 carbons.
