Abstract

The present invention relates to novel active compound combinations comprising at least one known compound of the formula (I) in which R is as defined in the description, and a further known active compound from the class of the neonicotinoids, which combinations are highly suitable for controlling animal pests such as insects.

Claims (29)

1. An active compound combination comprising at least one compound of formula (I)

in which

R represents methyl or cyclopropyl,

and clothianidin of formula (II)

2. The active compound combination according to claim 1 comprising a compound of formula (I)

in which

R represents methyl.

3. The active compound combination according to claim 1 comprising a compound of formula (I)

in which

R represents cyclopropyl.

4. The active compound combination according to claim 1 , wherein the compound of formula (I) and (II) are present in a mixing ratio of 25:1 to 1:25.

5. A method for controlling an animal pest comprising treating an animal pest, its habitat, a plant or seed with a combination according to claim 1 .

6. A method for controlling an animal pest of claim 5 , wherein the active compound combination is allowed to act on animal pest and/or a habitat thereof.

7. A method according to claim 6 , wherein the active compound of formula I and clothianidin are allowed to act simultaneously on seed.

8. A method according to claim 6 , wherein the active compound of formula I and clothianidin are allowed to act at different times on seed.

9. A process for preparing an insecticidal and/or acaricidal composition comprising mixing an active compound combination as defined in claim 1 with an extender and/or a surfactant.

10. A method for treating seed comprising treating a seed with active compound combination according to claim 1 .

11. A method for treating transgenic plants comprising treating a transgenic plant with a combination according to claim 1 .

12. A method for treating seed of transgenic plants comprising treating a transgenic seed of a transgenic plant with a combination according to claim 1 .

13. Seed treated with an active compound combination according to claim 1 .

14. Seed according to claim 13 which has been treated simultaneously with an active compound of the formula I and clothianidin.

15. A seed which has been treated at different times with at least one compound of formula (I)

in which

R represents methyl or cyclopropyl,

and clothianidin of formula (II)

16. A method for controlling an animal pest comprising treating an animal pest, its habitat, a plant or seed with a compound of formula (I)

in which

R represents methyl or cyclopropyl,

and clothianidin of formula (II)
