The present invention is directed to a door panel preferably for a sliding door assembly. The door panel includes an inner frame and a sheet stock substantially covering the inner frame. The inner frame includes a geometry that cooperates with a geometry of a door accessory for operable connection of the door accessory directly to the inner frame

59 . An extruded member for use in constructing an inner frame of a door panel for a slidable door assembly, the extruded member having a length, a first side, and a second side, wherein the extruded member comprising:
at least one of either a first protrusion or a first receptacle formed in at least one of the first and second sides, the first protrusion or first receptacle being located and dimensioned to cooperate with a mating receptacle or protrusion attached to a door seal operably connected to the inner frame.
60 . The extruded member of claim 59 further comprising a second protrusion or second receptacle being different from the first protrusion or first receptacle, respectively.
61 . The extruded member of claim 59 wherein the second protrusion or second receptacle cooperating with a gasket for a transparent member of a window assembly.
62 . The extruded member of claim 59 including a recess portion defined therein to provide a seat for a window secured to the inner frame.
63 . The extruded member of claim 59 being asymmetric about an axis.
64 . The extruded member of claim 59 defining a tube, the tube facilitating a threaded or press-fit connection between inner frame members.
65 . The extruded member of claim 64 wherein the tube including a diameter proportioned for cooperation with a fastener.
