Abstract

A multi-station dispensing apparatus which affords an automatic flow rate for the product to be dispensed. It also provides a single control knob which can select from several different chemical concentrates to be diluted and dispensed. In addition, a bottle can be filled by single-handed operation as well as a bucket without the need to reset the control knob.

Claims (36)

1. A multi-station liquid mixing and dispensing apparatus receiving liquid from a plurality of containers, the multi-station liquid mixing and dispensing apparatus comprising:

a support member;

a first liquid line;

first and second valves fluidly connected to the first liquid line for receiving liquid from the first liquid line;

first and second eductors fluidly connected to the first and second valves, respectively;

a second liquid line fluidly connecting the first and second eductors;

a multi-port valve fluidly connected to the second liquid line at a location between the first and second eductors; and

first and second liquid outlets lines fluidly connected to the first and second eductors for dispense of fluid from the apparatus,

the first valve having an open state in which liquid from the first liquid line passes therethrough and in which liquid from the multi-port valve is drawn thereto, and a closed state in which liquid from the first liquid line is inhibited from flowing therethrough and in which liquid flow in the second liquid line from the first valve toward the second valve is inhibited.

2. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the second valve has an open state in which liquid from the first liquid line passes therethrough and in which liquid from the multi-port valve is drawn thereto, and a closed state in which liquid from the first liquid line is inhibited from flowing therethrough and in which liquid flow in the second liquid line from the second valve toward the first valve is inhibited.

3. The apparatus of claim 1 further including a bar member and linkage connecting the bar member to the first valve member.

4. The apparatus of claim 1 further including a valve activating member connected to the second valve member.

5. The apparatus of claim 4 wherein the valve activating member includes a trigger and cable member.

6. The apparatus of claim 5 wherein the trigger and cable member is connected to a gun nozzle connected to the second eductor.

7. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein at least one of the liquid outlet lines is a hose.

8. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the multi-port valve is operated by a single selector member.

9. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the support member includes container-supporting pockets.

10. The apparatus of claim 9 wherein the container-supporting pockets include product identification windows.

11. The apparatus of claim 9 wherein the container-supporting pockets are housed behind doors.

12. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein a plurality of chemical concentrates supply a plurality of liquid supply lines extending to the multi-port valve.

13. The apparatus of claim 12 wherein the plurality of chemical concentrates have different chemical compositions.

14. A multi-station liquid mixing and dispensing apparatus receiving liquid from a plurality of containers, the multi-station liquid mixing and dispensing apparatus comprising:

a support member;

a first liquid line;

first and second eductors each fluidly coupled to the first liquid line;

a second liquid line fluidly connecting the first and second eductors;

a multi-port valve fluidly connected to the second liquid line;

a first valve positioned to selectively supply liquid from the first liquid line to the first eductor; and

a second valve positioned to selectively supply liquid from the second liquid line to the second eductor;

wherein the first eductor is connected to simultaneously draw liquid from the first valve and the multi-port valve without drawing liquid flow away from the second eductor toward the multi-port valve.

15. The apparatus of claim 14 wherein the second eductor is connected to simultaneously draw liquid from the second valve and the multi-port valve without drawing liquid flow away from the first eductor toward the multi-port valve.

16. The apparatus of claim 14 wherein multiple liquid supply lines extend to and supply liquid to the multi-port valve.

17. The apparatus of claim 14 further including a bar member and linkage connecting the bar member to the first member.

18. The apparatus of claim 14 further including a single selector member for activating the multi-port valve.

19. The apparatus of claim 14 further comprising a plurality of container-supporting pockets, wherein the container-supporting pockets include product identification windows.

20. The apparatus of claim 14 further comprising a plurality of container-supporting pockets, wherein the container-supporting pockets are housed behind doors.
