Dynamic bio-nanoparticle elements
The invention in suitable embodiments is directed to dynamic bio-nanoparticle elements and bio-nanoparticle platforms employing such bio-nanoparticle elements. In one aspect, one or more elements of one or more types, formed from isolated, synthetic and or recombinant amino acid residues comprising in whole or in part one or more types of Clathrin and or Coatomer I/II proteins of one or more isoforms, execute one or more functions and or effect one or more ends, in vivo and or in vitro.
1. A complex consisting of a single human clathrin triskelion, a linker, and a growth factor, wherein the human clathrin triskelion consists of (i) 3 isolated clathrin heavy chain (CHC) proteins and (ii) 3 isolated clathrin light chain (CLC) proteins, and the human clathrin triskelion is linked to the growth factor via a polyethylene glycol (PEG) linker.
2. The complex of claim 1 , wherein the growth factor comprises epidermal growth factor, transforming growth factor α (TGFα), nerve growth factor, neurotrophic factor, or platelet derived growth factor.
3. The complex of claim 1 , wherein the human clathrin triskelion comprises three human CHC proteins, and each human CHC protein comprises amino acid residues 1-1675 of SEQ ID NO:1.
4. The complex of claim 1 , wherein the CLC proteins are LCa or LCb.
