Abstract

According to some embodiments, a method, apparatus and computer readable medium are provided for facilitating play of a game utilizing an encoded player number and a decoding key for decoding the encoded player number.

Claims (39)

1. An apparatus, comprising:

a processor; and

a storage device operatively coupled to the processor and storing instructions adapted to be executed by the processor to:

transmit, to a game server, a selection by a player of a game and a player number that is encoded, the encoded player number associated with a random component of the selected game;

receive, from the game server, a game server random number;

after receiving the game server random number from the game server, transmit, to the first game server, a decoding key for decoding the encoded player number; and

after transmitting the decoding key to the game server, receive, from the game server, at least one result value corresponding to the random component of the selected game, in which the at least one result value was generated by the game server based on the player number and the game server random number.

2. A non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions configured to direct a processor to:

transmit, from a player terminal to a game server, a selection by a player of a game and a player number that is encoded, the encoded player number associated with a random component of the selected game;

receive, by the player terminal from the game server, a game server random number;

after receiving the game server random number by the player terminal from the game server, transmit, from the player terminal to the game server, a decoding key for decoding the encoded player number; and

after transmitting the decoding key by the player terminal to the game server, receive, by the player terminal from the game server, at least one result value corresponding to the random component of the selected game, in which the at least one result value was generated by the game server based on the player number and the game server random number.

3. The computer readable medium of claim 2 , which further comprises instructions configured to direct the processor to transmit a wager.

4. The computer readable medium of claim 2 , which further comprises instructions configured to direct the processor to:

receive an indication of a winning game outcome corresponding to the at least one result value and an indication of a prize.

5. The computer readable medium of claim 2 , which further comprises instructions configured to direct the processor to:

receive an indication of an available outcome that is associated with the selected game.

6. The computer readable medium of claim 5 , in which the indication of the available outcome comprises an indication of at least one of a letter, a number and a card.

7. The computer readable medium of claim 2 , the result value being generated utilizing a combination protocol to transform the player number and the game server random number into the at least one result value.

8. The computer readable medium of claim 2 , in which the instructions for transmitting the game selection comprise instructions configured to direct the processor to transmit at least one of a player ID number and a tracking number.

9. The computer readable medium of claim 2 , which further comprises instructions configured to direct the processor to, prior to transmitting the encoded player number, encode the player number.

10. The computer readable medium of claim 2 , in which the instructions for transmitting the selection of a game and the player number that is encoded comprise instructions configured to direct the processor to transmit at least one of numbers, letters, symbols, pictures, audio signals, video signals, or algorithms.

11. The computer readable medium of claim 2 , in which the at least one result value comprises an indication of at least one of spins of a roulette wheel, rolls of dice, or cards drawn for a card game.

12. A method comprising:

transmitting, from a player terminal to a game server, a selection by a player of a game and a player number that is encoded, the encoded player number associated with a random component of the selected game;

receiving, by the player terminal from the game server, a game server random number;

after receiving the game server random number by the player terminal from the game server, transmitting, by the player terminal to the game server, a decoding key for decoding the encoded player number; and

after transmitting the decoding key by the player terminal to the game sever, receiving, by the player terminal from the game server, at least one result value corresponding to the random component of the selected game, in which the at least one result value was generated by the game server based on the player number and the game server random number.

13. The method of claim 12 , further comprising transmitting a wager.

14. The method of claim 12 , further comprising:

receiving an indication of a winning game outcome corresponding to the at least one result value and an indication of a prize.

15. The method of claim 12 , further comprising:

receiving an indication of an available outcome that is associated with the selected game.

16. The computer readable medium of claim 15 , in which the indication of the available outcome comprises an indication of at least one of a letter, a number and a card.

17. The method of claim 12 , the result value being generated utilizing a combination protocol to transform the player number and the game server random number into the at least one result value.

18. The method of claim 12 , further comprising transmitting at least one of a player ID number and a tracking number.

19. The method of claim 12 , further comprising, prior to transmitting the encoded player number, encoding the player number.

20. The method of claim 12 , in which transmitting the selection of a game and the player number that is encoded comprises transmitting at least one of numbers, letters, symbols, pictures, audio signals, video signals, or algorithms.

21. The method of claim 12 , in which the at least one result value comprises an indication of at least one of spins of a roulette wheel, rolls of dice, or cards drawn for a card game.
