Abstract

A method may include dispensing a dose of an inhalable compound according to a dosing instruction set; and maintaining a hands-free article for dispensing the inhalable compound in an operable dispensing position.

Claims (132)

1 . A method for administering an inhalable compound, comprising:

dispensing for inhalation by a user a dose of an inhalable compound according to a dosing instruction set; and

maintaining in physical association with the user a hands-free article for dispensing the inhalable compound in an operable dispensing position.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the user is at least one of a human, an animal, a mammal, and a pet.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein dispensing for inhalation by a user a dose of an inhalable compound according to a dosing instruction set comprises:

dispensing a dose of an inhalable compound according to a defined dosing instruction set.

4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein dispensing a dose of an inhalable compound according to a defined dosing instruction set comprises:

dispensing a dose of an inhalable compound according to a time defined dosing instruction set.

5 . The method of claim 3 , wherein dispensing a dose of an inhalable compound according to a defined dosing instruction set comprises:

dispensing a dose of an inhalable compound according to a user defined dosing instruction set.

6 . The method of claim 3 , wherein dispensing a dose of an inhalable compound according to a defined dosing instruction set comprises:

dispensing a dose of an inhalable compound according to a health care provider-defined dosing instruction set.

7 . The method of claim 3 , wherein dispensing a dose of an inhalable compound according to a defined dosing instruction set comprises:

dispensing a dose of an inhalable compound according to a need response dosing instruction set.

8 . The method of claim 3 , wherein dispensing a dose of an inhalable compound according to a defined dosing instruction set comprises:

dispensing a dose of an inhalable compound according to a environmental need response dosing instruction set.

9 . The method of claim 3 , wherein dispensing a dose of an inhalable compound according to a defined dosing instruction set comprises:

dispensing a dose of an inhalable compound according to a location need response dosing instruction set.

10 . The method of claim 3 , wherein dispensing a dose of an inhalable compound according to a defined dosing instruction set comprises:

dispensing a dose of an inhalable compound according to a proximate presence or absence of other living beings.

11 . The method of claim 1 , wherein dispensing for inhalation by a user a dose of an inhalable compound according to a dosing instruction set comprises:

dispensing a dose of a pharmaceutical compound.

12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein dispensing for inhalation by a user a dose of an inhalable compound according to a dosing instruction set comprises:

dispensing a dose of a nutraceutical compound.

13 . The method of claim 1 , wherein dispensing for inhalation by a user a dose of an inhalable compound according to a dosing instruction set comprises:

dispensing a dose of a therapeutic compound.

14 . The method of claim 1 , wherein dispensing for inhalation by a user a dose of an inhalable compound according to a dosing instruction set comprises:

dispensing a dose of a homeopathic compound.

15 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

directing issuance of a dispensing order.

16 . The method of claim 3 , further comprising:

accepting a dosing instruction set from a user.

17 . The method of claim 3 , further comprising:

accepting a dosing instruction set from at least one of a physician, a health care provider, a physician's assistant, a nurse, a nurse practitioner, a registered nurse, a licensed practical nurse, a pharmacist, or an emergency responder.

18 . The method of claim 3 , further comprising:

accepting a dosing instruction set from a medical response unit.

19 . The method of claim 3 , further comprising:

validating a dosing instruction set for performing a function.

20 . The method of claim 3 , further comprising:

translating a dosing instruction set for performing a function into a dispensing order.

21 . The method of claim 3 , further comprising:

translating a medical parameter into a dispensing order.

22 . The method of claim 3 , further comprising:

generating a dispensing order according to the instruction set from a user.

23 . The method of claim 3 , further comprising:

generating a dispensing order according to the instruction set from a health care professional.

24 . The method of claim 3 , further comprising:

generating a dispensing order according to the instruction set from a medical response unit.

25 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

transmitting a dispensing order to a dispensing module.

26 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

transmitting a dispensing order to a dispensing module via a wireless transmission.

27 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

transmitting a dispensing order to a dispensing module via a optical transmission.

28 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

transmitting a dispensing order to a dispensing module via a wire transmission.

transmitting a dispensing order to a dispensing module via a mechanical transmission.

transmitting a dispensing order to a dispensing module via a radio transmission.

transmitting a dispensing order to a dispensing module via a processor transmission.

32 . The method of claim 3 , wherein dispensing a dose of an inhalable compound according to a defined dosing instruction set comprises:

dispensing the inhalable compound in accordance with a dispensing order received by a dispensing module.

33 . The method of claim 3 , further comprising:

requesting a dose of the inhalable compound in accordance with a dispensing order received by a dispensing module from a reservoir.

34 . The method of claim 1 , wherein dispensing for inhalation by a user a dose of an inhalable compound according to a dosing instruction set comprises:

generating an aerosol of the inhalable compound.

35 . The method of claim 1 , wherein dispensing for inhalation by a user a dose of an inhalable compound according to a dosing instruction set comprises:

generating at least one of a vapor or a powder of the inhalable compound.

36 . The method of claim 1 , wherein dispensing for inhalation by a user a dose of an inhalable compound according to a dosing instruction set comprises:

generating a liquid atomization of the inhalable compound.

37 . The method of claim 1 , wherein dispensing for inhalation by a user a dose of an inhalable compound according to a dosing instruction set comprises:

administering the inhalable compound via spraying a compound.

38 . The method of claim 1 , wherein dispensing for inhalation by a user a dose of an inhalable compound according to a dosing instruction set comprises:

administering the inhalable compound via at least one of dusting or powderizing a compound.

39 . The method of claim 1 , wherein dispensing for inhalation by a user a dose of an inhalable compound according to a dosing instruction set comprises:

administering the inhalable compound via nebulizing a compound.

40 . The method of claim 1 , wherein dispensing for inhalation by a user a dose of an inhalable compound according to a dosing instruction set comprises:

administering the inhalable compound via vaporizing a compound.

41 . The method of claim 1 , wherein dispensing for inhalation by a user a dose of an inhalable compound according to a dosing instruction set comprises:

administering an inhalable compound including a carrier.

42 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

controlling delivery of the inhalable compound.

43 . The method of claim 42 , wherein controlling delivery of the inhalable compound comprises:

selecting one or more delivery nozzles from a suite of nozzles.

44 . The method of claim 42 , wherein controlling delivery of the inhalable compound comprises:

directing delivery of the inhalable compound from one or more nozzles at different locations.

45 . The method of claim 42 , wherein controlling delivery of the inhalable compound comprises:

directing delivery of the inhalable compound by controlling a discharge direction.

46 . The method of claim 42 , wherein controlling delivery of the inhalable compound comprises:

directing delivery via a demand valve coupled with programmable dosing.

directing delivery via a charged particle dispersion.

maintaining a dispensing module in position to optimize respiratory receipt of an inhalable compound.

determining a relative position or direction to a desired respiratory target.
