Abstract

A hand-held laser device includes a casing formed with a substantially hollow interior space and having a laser emitter thereinside. The laser emitter is formed with an exciting lamp and a laser rod. A source generating a stream of gaseous coolant is provided within the interior space. A fluid cooling arrangement at least partially surrounding the laser rod is disposed within the stream of gaseous coolant for heat removal therefrom.

27 . A hand-held laser device comprising:

a casing having substantially a hollow interior space;

a laser emitter within said interior space, said laser emitter formed by at least one exciting lamp and a laser rod spaced from each other, said laser rod having a frustroconical configuration or being shaped as a frustum of polygonal pyramid; and

a source generating a stream of coolant within the interior space of the casing.

The hand-held device according to claim 27 , wherein said laser emitter further comprises said laser rod being interposed between a fully reflective and semi-reflective resonant mirrors, wherein a largest cross-section of said laser rod taking in a plane substantially normal to a longitudinal axis of the device does not exceed an outer periphery of each said resonant mirror.

29 . A hand-held laser device comprising:

a casing having a substantially hollow interior space;

a laser emitter within said interior space, said laser emitter formed by at least one exciting lamp and a laser rod spaced from each other, said laser rod having substantially conical configuration; and

a source generating a stream of coolant within the interior space.

30 . The device according to claim 29 , wherein a resonant mirror formed with a central opening is attached to a base of said substantially conically shaped rod.

31 . The device according to claim 29 , wherein a resonant mirror formed with a central opening is spaced from a base of said substantially conically shaped rod.
