Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for generating a downlink frame including generating a first short sequence and a second short sequence indicating cell group information, generating a first scrambling sequence determined by the first synchronization signal, generating a second scrambling sequence determined by the first short sequence, scrambling the first short sequence with the first scrambling sequence, scrambling the second short sequence with at least the second scrambling sequence, and mapping a second synchronization signal including the scrambled first short sequence and the scrambled second short sequence in the frequency domain.

Claims (78)

1. A method for generating a downlink frame including a first synchronization signal and a second synchronization signal, comprising:

generating a first short sequence and a second short sequence indicating cell group information;

generating a first scrambling sequence determined based on the first synchronization signal;

generating a second scrambling sequence determined based on the first short sequence;

scrambling the first short sequence with the first scrambling sequence, and scrambling the second short sequence with at least the second scrambling sequence; and

mapping a second synchronization signal including the scrambled first short sequence and the scrambled second short sequence in the frequency domain.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein

the mapping includes

alternately disposing the scrambled first short sequence and the scrambled second short sequence on a plurality of subcarriers.

3. The method of claim 2 , wherein

a plurality of cells are divided into a plurality of cell groups, and each cell group includes at least two cells,

the plurality of cell groups are identified by a cell group number,

the at least two cells in each cell group are identified by the number of a cell identifying sequence allocated to the first synchronization signal, and

the first short sequence and the second short sequence correspond to the cell group number.

4. The method of claim 2 , wherein

the downlink frame includes a plurality of slots, and each slot includes a plurality of symbols, and

the first synchronization signal is provided at the last symbol of the slot, and the second synchronization signal is provided at a symbol before the last symbol of the slot.

5. A device for generating a downlink frame including a first synchronization signal and a second synchronization signal, comprising:

a sequence generator for generating a first short sequence and a second short sequence indicating cell group information, a first scrambling sequence determined based on the first synchronization signal, and a second scrambling sequence determined based on the first short sequence; and

a synchronization signal generator for scrambling the first short sequence with the first scrambling sequence, scrambling the second short sequence with at least the second scrambling sequence, and generating a second synchronization signal including the scrambled first short sequence and the scrambled second short sequence.

6. The device of claim 5 , further comprising

a frequency mapper for alternately disposing the scrambled first short sequence and the scrambled second short sequence on a plurality of subcarriers.

7. The device of claim 6 , wherein

a plurality of cells are divided into a plurality of cell groups, and each cell group includes at least two cells,

the plurality of cell groups are identified by a cell group number,

the at least two cells in each cell group are identified by the number of a cell identifying sequence allocated to the first synchronization signal, and

the first short sequence and the second short sequence correspond to the cell group number.

8. The device of claim 6 , wherein

the downlink frame includes a plurality of slots, and each slot includes a plurality of symbols, and

the first synchronization signal is provided at the last symbol of the slot, and the second synchronization signal is provided at a symbol before the last symbol of the slot.

9. A non-transitory recording medium for recording a program for performing a method of generating a downlink frame including a first synchronization signal and a second synchronization signal, the method comprising:

generating a first short sequence and a second short sequence indicating cell group information;

generating a first scrambling sequence determined based on the first synchronization signal;

generating a second scrambling sequence determined based on the first short sequence;

scrambling the first short sequence with the first scrambling sequence, and scrambling the second short sequence with at least the second scrambling sequence; and

mapping a second synchronization signal including the scrambled first short sequence and the scrambled second short sequence in the frequency domain.

10. The recording medium of claim 9 , wherein

the mapping includes

alternately disposing the scrambled first short sequence and the scrambled second short sequence on a plurality of subcarriers.

11. The recording medium of claim 10 , wherein

a plurality of cells are divided into a plurality of cell groups, and each cell group includes at least two cells,

the plurality of cell groups are identified by a cell group number,

the at least two cells in each cell group are identified by the number of a cell identifying sequence allocated to the first synchronization signal, and

the first short sequence and the second short sequence correspond to the cell group number.

12. The recording medium of claim 10 , wherein

the downlink frame includes a plurality of slots, and each slot includes a plurality of symbols, and

the first synchronization signal is provided at the last symbol of the slot, and the second synchronization signal is provided at a symbol before the last symbol of the slot.

13. A method for identifying a cell in a terminal of a communication system in which a plurality of cells are divided into a plurality of cell groups, and each of the cell groups includes at least two cells, the method comprising:

receiving a first synchronization signal, the first synchronization signal being determined based on a cell identifying sequence number for identifying a cell within a cell group; and

receiving a second synchronization signal including a first short sequence scrambled with a first scrambling sequence and a second short sequence scrambled with at least a second scrambling sequence,

wherein the first short sequence and the second short sequence are determined based on a cell group number for identifying a cell group,

the first scrambling sequence depends on the first synchronization signal,

the second scrambling sequence depends on the first short sequence, and

the terminal identifies a cell based on the cell group number and the cell identifying sequence number.

14. A method of searching a cell by a mobile station, the method comprising:

receiving a downlink frame including a first synchronization signal and a second synchronization signal; and

identifying a cell by using the first synchronization signal and the second synchronization signal,

wherein the second synchronization signal includes a first short sequence scrambled with a first scrambling sequence and a second short sequence scrambled with a second scrambling sequence,

the first scrambling sequence is determined based on the first synchronization signal,

the second scrambling sequence is determined based on the first short sequence, and

the first and second short sequences indicate cell group information.

15. The method of claim 14 , wherein the scrambled first short sequence and the scrambled second short sequence are alternately disposed on a plurality of subcarriers in the downlink frame.

16. The method of claim 14 , the identifying the cell comprises:

identifying a cell group by using the second synchronization signal; and

identifying the cell in the cell group by using the first synchronization signal.

17. The method of claim 14 , wherein the downlink frame includes a plurality of slots, and each slot includes a plurality of symbols, and

the first synchronization signal is provided at the last symbol of the slot, and the second synchronization signal is provided at a symbol before the last symbol of the slot.

18. An apparatus for searching a cell, the apparatus comprising:

a receiving unit configured to receive a downlink frame including a first synchronization signal and a second synchronization signal; and

a cell ID estimating unit configured to identify a cell by using the first synchronization signal and the second synchronization signal,

wherein the second synchronization signal includes a first short sequence scrambled with a first scrambling sequence and a second short sequence scrambled with a second scrambling sequence,

the first scrambling sequence is determined based on the first synchronization signal,

the second scrambling sequence is determined based on the first short sequence, and

the first and second short sequences indicate cell group information.

19. The apparatus of claim 18 , wherein the scrambled first short sequence and the scrambled second short sequence are alternately disposed on a plurality of subcarriers in the downlink frame.

20. The apparatus of claim 18 , wherein the cell ID estimating unit identifies a cell group by using the second synchronization signal, and identifies the cell in the cell group by using the first synchronization signal.

21. The apparatus of claim 18 , wherein the downlink frame includes a plurality of slots, and each slot includes a plurality of symbols, and

the first synchronization signal is provided at the last symbol of the slot, and the second synchronization signal is provided at a symbol before the last symbol of the slot.
