HYBRID MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL AND METHOD OF ACQUIRING SYSTEM FOR DATA SERVICE IN HYBRID MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL
A hybrid mobile communication terminal includes a mode setting unit which sets a High Data Rate (HDR) power save mode and an indicator indicating the HDR power save mode when data service cannot be provided through a CDMA2000 1x EVDO (Evolution Data Only) system; and a data communication unit which attempts to acquire a CDMA2000 1x system or the EVDO system according to whether the indicator has been set by the mode setting unit. A method for acquiring a system for data service includes: setting an HDR power save mode and an indicator indicating the HDR power save mode when the data service cannot be provided through the EVDO system; determining whether the indicator has been set upon acquiring a system for the data, service; and attempting to acquire the 1x system or the EVDO system according to whether the indicator has been set.
1 . A method for acquiring a first system supporting low-speed data service or a second system supporting high-speed data service, comprising:
setting a power save mode and an indicator indicating the power save mode if data service cannot be provided through the second system;
determining whether the indicator has been set upon receiving a request for data service; and
attempting to acquire the first system or the second system according to whether the indicator has been set.
2 . A hybrid mobile communication terminal that can acquire a first system supporting low-speed data service and a second system supporting high-speed data service, comprising:
a mode setting unit to set a power save mode and an indicator indicating the power save mode if data service cannot be provided through the second system; and
a data communication unit to acquire the first system or the second system according to whether the indicator has been set.
3 . A method for acquiring one of multiple systems for data service, each system having a priority for providing the data service, the method comprising:
setting a power save mode and an indicator indicating the power save mode if the data service cannot be provided through a first system having a highest priority;
determining whether the indicator has been set upon receiving a request for data service; and
attempting to acquire the first system or a second system having a lower priority than the first system according to whether the indicator has been set.
4 . A hybrid mobile communication terminal that can acquire at least one of multiple systems for data service, each system having a priority for providing the data service, comprising:
a mode setting unit to set a power save mode and an indicator indicating the power save mode if the data service cannot be provided through a first system having a highest priority; and
a data communication unit to acquire the first system or a second system having a lower priority than the first system according to whether the indicator has been set.
