SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COMPARING ALTERNATIVE COMBINED INTERNET, TELEVISION, AND TELEPHONE SERVICE PLANS
In embodiments of the invention, a method for comparing combined internet, television, and telephone service plans includes collecting and analyzing a user's current combined internet, television, and telephone service usage data to obtain a normalized combined internet, television, and telephone service usage dataset, normalizing data related to a plurality of alternative combined internet, television, and telephone service offerings according to a normalized alternative combined internet, television, and telephone service offering model, applying the model to the normalized combined internet, television, and telephone usage dataset to produce a plurality of alternative combined internet, television, and telephone service offering normalized datasets, and comparing the datasets to the normalized combined internet, television, and telephone service usage dataset to determine if an alternative combined internet, television, and telephone service offering is better than the user's current combined internet, television, and telephone service. 1 . A machine readable medium, the machine readable medium having program instructions stored thereon for comparing combined internet, television, and telephone service plans based on a user's usage data executable by a processing unit, the program instructions comprising the steps of:
collecting combined internet, television, and telephone service usage data for a user's current combined internet, television, and telephone service using a computer implemented facility;
analyzing the combined internet, television, and telephone service usage data to obtain a normalized combined internet, television, and telephone service usage dataset;
normalizing data related to a plurality of alternative combined internet, television, and telephone service offerings according to a normalized alternative combined internet, television, and telephone service offering model;
applying the normalized alternative combined internet, television, and telephone service offering model to the normalized combined internet, television, and telephone usage dataset to produce a plurality of alternative combined internet, television, and telephone service offering normalized datasets; and
comparing the alternative combined internet, television, and telephone service offering normalized datasets to the normalized combined internet, television, and telephone service usage dataset to determine if an alternative combined internet, television, and telephone service offering is better than the user's current combined internet, television, and telephone service.
