Abstract

The present invention relates to prostate cancer markers, compositions comprising such markers, and methods of using such markers to induce or increase an immune response against prostate cancer. An immune response against the markers correlates with an immune response, in particular a humoral immune response, against prostate cancer cells which immune response is preferably associated with prophylaxis of prostate cancer, treatment of prostate cancer, and/or amelioration of at least one symptom associated with prostate cancer.

Claims (10)

1. A method of cancer immunotherapy comprising:

administering a composition to a subject with prostate cancer, the composition comprising one or more populations of cells genetically modified to express the coding sequence for granulocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor (“GM-CSF”) and the coding sequence of one or more prostate tumor-associated antigens selected from the group consisting of HLA-A24, FLJ14668 (SEQ ID NO: 3), Cardiolipin, NNAT, SELS, HIGD2A, SSR3 and NRP2, wherein the cells comprise autologous tumor cells, allogenic tumor cells, or bystander cells.

A method of inducing a de novo immune response against one or more prostate tumor-associated antigens comprising: administering a composition to a subject with prostate cancer, the composition comprising one or more populations of cells genetically modified to express the coding sequence for GM-CSF and the coding sequence of one or more prostate tumor-associated antigens selected from the group consisting of HLA-A24, FLJ14668 (SEQ ID NO: 3), Cardiolipin, NNAT, SELS, HIGD2A, SSR3 and NRP2, wherein said administering induces a de novo immune response against one or more of said prostate tumor-associated antigens, wherein the cells comprise autologous tumor cells, allogenic tumor cells, or bystander cells.

A method of increasing an immune response against one or more prostate tumor-associated antigens comprising: administering a composition to a subject with prostate cancer, the composition comprising one or more populations of cells genetically modified to express the coding sequence for GM-CSF and the coding sequence of one or more prostate tumor-associated antigens selected from the group consisting of HLA-A24, FLJ14668 (SEQ ID NO.: 3), Cardiolipin, NNAT, SELS, HIGD2A, SSR3 and NRP2, wherein said administering increases an immune response against one or more of said prostate tumor-associated antigens, wherein the cells comprise autologous tumor cells, allogenic tumor cells, or bystander cells.

4. The method of any of claims 1 to 3 wherein the prostate tumor-associated antigen is FLJ14668 (SEQ ID NO.: 3).

The method of any of claims 1 to 3 , wherein a single population of cells is genetically modified to express the coding sequence for GM-CSF and one or more prostate tumor-associated antigens selected from the group consisting of HLA-A24, FLJ14668 (SEQ ID NO.: 3), Cardiolipin, NNAT, SELS, HIGD2A, SSR3 and NRP2.

The method of any of claims 1 to 3 , wherein two different populations of cells are genetically modified to express the coding sequence for GM-CSF and one or more prostate tumor-associated antigens selected from the group consisting of HLA-A24, FLJ14668 (SEQ ID NO.: 3), Cardiolipin, NNAT, SELS, HIGD2A, SSR3 and NRP2.

7. The method according to any of claim 1 to 3 , wherein said genetically modified cells are allogenic.

8. The method according to claim 5 , wherein said genetically modified cells are allogenic.

9. The method according to claim 6 , wherein said genetically modified cells are allogenic.
