Methods and compositions for tissue regeneration
View Patent ↗Disclosed is a composition comprising cells comprising keratinocytes or fibroblasts, or mixtures thereof, that secrete one or more biologically active molecules selected from the group consisting of GM-CSF, VEGF, KGF, bFGF, TGFβ, angiopoietin, EGF, IL-ID, IL- 6 , IL- 8 , TGFα, and TNFα and an extracellular matrix comprising alginate, wherein the cells are allogeneic and mitotically inactive.
1. A composition comprising:
(a) cells comprising keratinocytes or fibroblasts, or mixtures thereof, that secrete one or more biologically active molecules selected from the group consisting of GM-CSF, VEGF, KGF, bFGF, TGFβ, angiopoietin, EGF, IL-Iβ, IL-6, IL-8, TGFα, and TNFα;
(b) an extracellular matrix comprising alginate;
(c) a buffered solution; and
(d) human serum albumin or a cryoprotectant,
wherein the cells are allogeneic and mitotically inactive.
2. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the cells are mitotically inactivated by irradiation.
3. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the composition comprises keratinocytes and fibroblasts and the ratio of keratinocytes to fibroblasts is 1:9.
4. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the composition is a paste.
5. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the composition comprises human serum albumin and a cryoprotectant.
6. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the buffered solution is HBSS.
7. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the buffered solution comprises Ca ++ .
8. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the composition comprises human serum albumin.
9. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the composition comprises a cryoprotectant.
10. The composition of claim 9 wherein the cryoprotectant is glycerol.
11. The composition of claim 9 , wherein the composition is cyropreserved.
12. The composition of claim 9 , wherein the composition is comprised in a sterile vial.
