Abstract

A water/oil repellent composition which comprises a copolymer having polymerized units derived from monomer (a) and polymerized units derived from monomer (b), wherein the proportion of the polymerized units derived from the monomer (b) is 30 to 80 mol % in the total of the polymerized units derived from the monomer (a) and the polymerized units derived from the monomer (b). Monomer (a) is a compound represented by the formula: (Z—Y) n X; wherein Z is a C 1-6 perfluoroalkyl group or the like; Y is a bivalent organic group or the like; n is 1 or 2; and X is a polymerizable unsaturated group; and monomer (b) is a (meth)acrylate having no polyfluoroalkyl group and having an C 20-30 alkyl group.
