Abstract

Purified genes encoding cytokine referred to as interleukin-B30 (IL-B30) from a mammal, reagents related thereto including purified proteins, specific antibodies, and nucleic acids encoding this molecule are provided. Methods of using said reagents and diagnostic kits are also provided.

Claims (17)

1. A recombinant antibody, or antigen binding fragment thereof, that specifically binds to a polypeptide comprising residues 1-168 of SEQ ID NO: 2.

2. The recombinant antibody, or antigen binding fragment thereof, of claim 1 wherein said antibody specifically binds to a polypeptide consisting of residues 1-168 of SEQ ID NO: 2.

3. The recombinant antibody, or antigen binding fragment thereof, of claim 1 comprising a full length antibody.

4. The recombinant antibody, or antigen binding fragment thereof, of claim 1 comprising:

a) a Fab fragment;

b) a Fab 2 fragment; or

c) a single chain antibody.

5. The recombinant antibody, or antigen binding fragment thereof, of claim 1 wherein the antibody or fragment binds said polypeptide with an affinity of at least 3 nM.

6. The recombinant antibody, or antigen binding fragment thereof, of claim 1 wherein said antibody is a monoclonal antibody.

7. The recombinant antibody, or antigen binding fragment thereof, of claim 1 wherein said antibody is a chimeric or humanized antibody.
