Abstract

Systems and methods are described relating to accepting an indication of memory-dampening agent use and altering an artificial sensory experience to modify at least one effect of the memory-dampening agent.

Claims (82)

1 . A system, comprising:

means for accepting an indication of memory-dampening agent use; and

means for altering an artificial sensory experience to modify at least one effect of the memory-dampening agent.

2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the means for accepting an indication of memory-dampening agent use comprises:

means for accepting an identification of at least one memory-dampening agent prescribed for the individual.

3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the means for accepting an indication of memory-dampening agent use comprises:

means for accepting a memory-dampening agent time schedule.

4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the means for accepting an indication of memory-dampening agent use comprises:

means for accepting a memory-dampening agent delivery type schedule.

5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the means for accepting an indication of memory-dampening agent use comprises:

means for accepting a memory-dampening agent delivery dosage administration schedule.

6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the means for accepting an indication of memory-dampening agent use comprises:

means for accepting a memory-dampening agent loading dose.

7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the means for accepting an indication of memory-dampening agent use comprises:

means for accepting an analysis at least one of sweat, blood, breath, heart rate, brain activity, respiration, or voice quality to detect the at least one indication of memory-dampening agent use.

8 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the means for accepting an analysis at least one of sweat, blood, breath, heart rate, brain activity, respiration, or voice quality to detect the at least one indication of memory-dampening agent use comprises:

means for accepting an analysis of brain activity using at least one of near infra-red imaging, EEG, magnetoencephalography, functional magnetic resonance imaging, or computer-aided tomography.

9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the means for accepting an indication of memory-dampening agent use comprises:

means for detecting a concentration of the memory-dampening agent.

10 . The system of claim 1 wherein the means for accepting an indication of memory-dampening agent use comprises:

means for comparing a measured value of the memory-dampening agent in the individual to a stored baseline value of the memory-dampening agent for the individual to identify a differential indicative of memory-dampening agent use.

11 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the means for accepting an indication of memory-dampening agent use comprises:

means for accepting an indication of a prescribed medication.

12 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the means for altering an artificial sensory experience to modify at least one effect of the memory-dampening agent comprises:

means for altering access to at least a portion of the at least one artificial sensory experience.

13 . The system of claim 12 wherein the means for altering access to at least a portion of the at least one artificial sensory experience comprises:

means for restricting access to at least a portion of the artificial sensory experience.

14 . The system of claim 12 wherein the means for altering access to at least a portion of the at least one artificial sensory experience comprises:

means for granting access to at least a portion of the artificial sensory experience.

15 . The system of claim 1 wherein the means for altering an artificial sensory experience to modify at least one effect of the memory-dampening agent comprises:

means for altering a visual object in an artificial sensory experience.

16 . The system of claim 15 wherein the means for altering a visual object in an artificial sensory experience comprises:

means for altering a color scheme of an artificial sensory experience.

17 . The system of claim 15 wherein the means for altering a visual object in an artificial sensory experience comprises:

means for altering at least a portion of text of an artificial sensory experience.

18 . The system of claim 1 wherein the means for altering an artificial sensory experience to modify at least one effect of the memory-dampening agent comprises:

means for altering a sound in an artificial sensory experience.

19 . The system of claim 18 wherein the means for altering a sound in an artificial sensory experience comprises:

means for altering at least a portion of music in the artificial sensory experience.

20 . The system of claim 18 wherein the means for altering a sound in an artificial sensory experience comprises:

means for altering at least a portion of ambient sound in the artificial sensory experience.

21 . The system of claim 18 wherein the means for altering a sound in an artificial sensory experience comprises:

means for altering at least a portion of voice in the artificial sensory experience.

22 . The system of claim 1 wherein the means for altering an artificial sensory experience to modify at least one effect of the memory-dampening agent comprises:

means for altering an artificial sensory experience to enhance the efficacy of the memory-dampening agent.

23 . The system of claim 1 wherein the means for altering an artificial sensory experience to modify at least one effect of the memory-dampening agent comprises:

means for altering an artificial sensory experience to reduce a side effect of the memory-dampening agent.

24 . The system of claim 1 wherein the means for altering an artificial sensory experience to modify at least one effect of the memory-dampening agent comprises:

means for adding at least one of visual or audio content to the artificial sensory experience.

25 . The system of claim 1 wherein the means for altering an artificial sensory experience to modify at least one effect of the memory-dampening agent comprises:

means for deleting at least one of visual or audio content of the artificial sensory experience.

26 . The system of claim 1 wherein the means for altering an artificial sensory experience to modify at least one effect of the memory-dampening agent comprises:

means for adding content to the artificial sensory experience and deleting different content from the artificial sensory experience.

27 . The system of claim 1 wherein the means for altering an artificial sensory experience to modify at least one effect of the memory-dampening agent comprises:

means for altering a sensate experience to modify the at least one effect of the memory-dampening agent.

28 . The system of claim 27 wherein the means for altering a sensate experience to modify the at least one effect of the memory-dampening agent comprises:

means for altering at least one of an olfactory stimulus, a haptic stimulus, a visual stimulus, an auditory stimulus, or a taste stimulus to modify the at least one effect of the memory-dampening agent.

29 . The system of claim 1 wherein the means for altering an artificial sensory experience to modify at least one effect of the memory-dampening agent comprises:

means for altering an artificial sensory experience implemented on a mobile device.

30 . The system of claim 1 wherein the means for accepting an indication of memory-dampening agent use and the means for altering an artificial sensory experience to modify at least one effect of the memory-dampening agent comprise:

means for accepting an indication of a physician's prescription and documented dose schedule for propranolol and altering a virtual experience configured to overcome a fear of heights and implemented on a mobile device by blocking a portion of the virtual experience including a view where a high elevation is depicted.

31 . A computer-implemented method, comprising:

accepting an indication of memory-dampening agent use; and

altering an artificial sensory experience to modify at least one effect of the memory-dampening agent.

circuitry for accepting an indication of memory-dampening agent use; and

circuitry for altering an artificial sensory experience to modify at least one effect of the memory-dampening agent.

62 . A computer program product, comprising:

a signal-bearing medium bearing one or more instructions for accepting an indication of memory-dampening agent use; and

one or more instructions for altering an artificial sensory experience to modify at least one effect of the memory-dampening agent.

63 . The computer program product of claim 62 , wherein the signal-bearing medium includes a computer-readable medium.

64 . The computer program product of claim 62 , wherein the signal-bearing medium includes a recordable medium.

65 . The computer program product of claim 62 , wherein the signal-bearing medium includes a communications medium.

66 . A system, comprising:

a computing device; and

instructions that when executed on the computing device cause the computing device to

accept an indication of memory-dampening agent use; and

alter an artificial sensory experience to modify at least one effect of the memory-dampening agent.

67 . The system of claim 66 wherein the computing device comprises:

one or more of a personal digital assistant (PDA), a personal entertainment device, a mobile phone, a laptop computer, a tablet personal computer, a networked computer, a computing system comprised of a cluster of processors, a computing system comprised of a cluster of servers, a workstation computer, and/or a desktop computer.

68 . The system of claim 66 wherein the computing device is operable to accept an indication of memory-dampening agent use and alter an artificial sensory experience to modify at least one effect of the memory-dampening agent.
