Abstract

Certain embodiments disclosed herein relate to compositions, methods, devices, systems, and products regarding frozen particles. In certain embodiments, the frozen particles include materials at low temperatures. In certain embodiments, the frozen particles provide vehicles for delivery of particular agents. In certain embodiments, the frozen particles are administered to at least one biological tissue.

Claims (27)

1. A fluidic device, comprising:

a support structure at least partially defining at least one compartment; and

at least one frozen fluid piercing implement including at least one therapeutic agent, the frozen fluid piercing implement in fluid communication with the at least one compartment wherein at least one first implement is configured to deliver at least one agent, and at least one second implement is configured to sense or extract at least one material from the at least one substrate.

2. The fluidic device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one compartment is configured to hold at least one material extracted from at least one substrate.

3. The fluidic device of claim 1 , further including means for drawing up at least one material from the at least one substrate.

4. The fluidic device of claim 1 , wherein at least one first implement is in fluid communication with at least one compartment.

5. The fluidic device of claim 1 , wherein the sensor is configured to respond to at least one material collected in the at least one compartment.

6. The fluidic device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one compartment is configured for displacement of at least one fluid as the at least one material is extracted from the at least one substrate.

7. The fluidic device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one compartment is substantially rigid.

8. The fluidic device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one frozen piercing implement includes at least one inlet port in fluid communication with at least one outlet port.

9. A fluidic device, comprising:

at least one frozen fluid piercing implement including at least one therapeutic agent, and at least one actuator configured to actuate the at least one frozen fluid piercing implement into at least one biological tissue, wherein the at least one frozen piercing implement is configured to sense or extract at least one material from at least one substrate, and further including at least one compartment configured to hold at least one material extracted from at least one substrate.

10. The fluidic device of claim 9 , wherein the at least one frozen piercing implement is in fluid communication with at least one compartment.

11. The fluidic device of claim 9 , further including at least one compartment configured to hold at least one agent.

12. The fluidic device of claim 11 , wherein the at least one frozen piercing implement is in fluid communication with the at least one compartment.

13. A fluidic device, comprising:

at least one frozen fluid piercing implement including at least one therapeutic agent, and at least one actuator configured to actuate the at least one frozen fluid piercing implement into at least one biological tissue, wherein the at least one actuator includes at least one microactuator or nanoactuator.

14. The fluidic device of claim 13 , wherein the valve includes at least one of a one-way valve, or pressure settable valve.

15. The fluidic device of claim 13 , further including at least one compartment configured to hold at least one material to form at least one frozen piercing implement.

16. The fluidic device of claim 15 , wherein the at least one compartment includes at least one of a controller, microparticle, nanoparticle, lens, tunable lens, sensor, transducer, cooler, actuator, detector, heater, valve, gate, channel, detection material, pump, power source, injector, controller, receiver, transmitter, or circuit.

17. The fluidic device of claim 16 , wherein the controller is configured to control fluidic communication between the at least one frozen piercing implement and the compartment.

18. The fluidic device of claim 16 , wherein the valve includes at least one of a one-way valve, or pressure settable valve.

19. A fluidic device, comprising:

at least one frozen fluid piercing implement including at least one therapeutic agent, and at least one actuator configured to actuate the at least one frozen fluid piercing implement into at least one biological tissue, further including a plurality of frozen piercing implements, and at least one actuator configured to actuate the plurality of frozen piercing implements;

wherein each piercing implement has at least one major dimension of approximately one centimeter or less, approximately one millimeter or less, approximately one micrometer or less, approximately one nanometer, or any value therebetween.

20. The fluidic device of claim 1 , wherein at least part of the support structure includes at least one frozen composition.

21. The fluidic device of claim 1 , wherein at least part of the support structure includes at least one of a metal, ceramic, polymer, organic or inorganic compound, semiconductor, other material, or composite thereof.
