Abstract

The present invention provides an organic EL display and a method of manufacturing the same capable of assuring excellent electric connection between an auxiliary wiring and a second electrode without using large-scale equipment. The organic EL display includes: a plurality of pixels each having, in order from a substrate side, a first electrode, an organic layer including a light emission layer, and a second electrode; an auxiliary wiring disposed in a periphery region of each of the plurality of pixels and conducted to the second electrode; and another auxiliary wiring disposed apart from the auxiliary wiring at least in a part of outer periphery of a formation region of the auxiliary wiring in a substrate surface.

Claims (13)

1. An organic EL display comprising:

a plurality of pixels each having, in order from a substrate side, a first electrode, an organic layer including a light emission layer, and a second electrode;

an auxiliary wiring disposed in a periphery region of each of the plurality of pixels and conducted to the second electrode; and

another auxiliary wiring disposed apart from the auxiliary wiring at least in a part of outer periphery of a formation region of the auxiliary wiring in a substrate surface.

2. The organic EL display according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of pixels are disposed in matrix on the substrate, and

the auxiliary wiring is disposed in an inter-pixel region between the plurality of pixels and a peripheral region surrounding the entire plural pixels.

3. The organic EL display according to claim 2 , wherein the another auxiliary wiring is disposed so as to surround the peripheral region of the auxiliary wiring.

4. The organic EL display according to claim 1 , further comprising a third electrode disposed between the organic layer and the second electrode so as to cover a formation region of the another auxiliary wiring.

5. The organic EL display according to claim 1 , further comprising, on the substrate, a drive circuit for driving the plurality of pixels and a planarization layer for planarizing the drive circuit and made of an insulating material,

wherein the auxiliary wiring and the another auxiliary wiring are disposed over the planarization layer together with the first electrode.

6. The organic EL display according to claim 1 , further comprising, on the substrate, a drive circuit for driving the plurality of pixels and a planarization layer for planarizing the drive circuit and made of an insulating material,

wherein the auxiliary wiring is disposed over the substrate together with the drive circuit and covered with the planarization layer, and

the another auxiliary wiring is disposed over the planarization layer together with the first electrode.
