Abstract

The present invention provides a solar battery including a solar cell; a wiring substrate having a wire to be electrically connected to an electrode provided in the solar cell; and an adhesive agent for adhering the solar cell and the wiring substrate to each other. The present invention also provides a method for manufacturing the solar battery, a method for manufacturing a solar cell module using the solar battery, and the solar cell module.

Claims (27)

1. A solar battery comprising: at least two solar cell strings, each solar cell string comprising at least two adjacent solar cells; a wiring substrate; and an adhesive agent for adhering said solar cells and said wiring substrate to each other;

wherein said wiring substrate includes an insulative base material and a patterned metal disposed on said insulative base material, said patterned metal comprising a first connection electrode and wiring extending from said first connection electrode for connecting electrodes of adjacent solar cells in a first solar cell string, a second connection electrode and wiring extending from said second connection electrode for connecting electrodes of adjacent solar cells in a second solar cell string, the first and second solar cell strings being disposed adjacent one another on the wiring substrate, a first bus bar disposed at one end of the wiring substrate and wiring extending from said first bus bar for connecting electrodes of a solar cell at one end of the first solar cell string, a second bus bar disposed adjacent the first bus bar at a same end of the wiring substrate and wiring extending from said second bus bar for connecting electrodes at one end of the second solar cell string, and a third bus bar for connecting electrodes of another solar cell of the first solar cell string to electrodes of another solar cell of the second solar cell string, said third bus bar being disposed at an end of the wiring substrate opposite the one end at which said first and second bus bars are disposed,

wherein said adhesive agent is disposed on a region of said insulative base material other than a region in which said first and second connection electrodes are formed so that said adhesive agent is not disposed on said first and second connection electrodes in a region between adjacent solar cells, and

wherein said solar cell is a back-side electrode type solar cell having a p electrode and an n electrode on a rear surface of said solar cell.

2. The solar battery according to claim 1 , wherein said insulative base material includes at least one of polyethylene terephthalate and polyethylene naphthalate.

3. The solar battery according to claim 1 , wherein said wire is formed of a material including at least one selected from a group consisting of copper, aluminum, and silver.

4. The solar battery according to claim 1 , wherein said adhesive agent includes at least one selected from a group consisting of a silicone-based adhesive agent, an acrylic-based adhesive agent, an epoxy-based adhesive agent, and a rubber-based adhesive agent.

5. The solar battery according to claim 1 , wherein said adhesive agent has stable adhesiveness even when exposed to an environment at a temperature of 150° C. or greater.

6. The solar battery according to claim 1 , wherein said adhesive agent is a viscous adhesive agent.

7. The solar battery according to claim 1 , wherein said p electrode and said n electrode of said solar cell have a shape of at least one of a strip and a dot.

8. The solar battery according to claim 1 , wherein said p electrode and said n electrode of said solar cell and said wire of said wiring substrate are electrically connected to each other via a conductive adhesive agent.

9. The solar battery according to claim 8 , wherein said conductive adhesive agent has a melting temperature/hardening temperature of 180° C. or smaller.

10. The solar battery according to claim 1 , wherein plural wiring substrates are electrically connected to each other by a conductive member.

11. The solar battery according to claim 1 , wherein an outside of said solar cell and said wiring substrate adhered to each other by said adhesive agent is sealed with a sealing material.

12. The solar battery according to claim 1 , wherein an outside of said solar cell and said wiring substrate adhered to each other by said adhesive agent is sealed with a sealing material, and said sealing material is different from said adhesive agent.

13. The solar battery according to claim 1 , wherein said first and second connection electrodes and wirings extending therefrom and said first and second bus bars and wiring extending therefrom are formed from one sheet of conductive material.

14. A solar battery, comprising: at least two solar cell strings, each solar cell string comprising at least two adjacent solar cells; a wiring substrate; and an adhesive agent for adhering said solar cells and said wiring substrate to each other;

wherein said wiring substrate includes an insulative base material and a patterned metal disposed on said insulative base material, said patterned metal comprising a first connection electrode and wiring extending from said first connection electrode for connecting electrodes of adjacent solar cells in a first solar cell string, a second connection electrode and wiring extending from said second connection electrode for connecting electrodes of adjacent solar cells in a second solar cell string, the first and second solar cell strings being disposed adjacent one another on the wiring substrate, a first bus bar disposed at one end of the wiring substrate for connecting electrodes of a solar cell at one end of the first solar cell string a second bus bar disposed adjacent the first bus bar at a same end of the wiring substrate for connecting electrodes at one end of the second solar cell string, and a third bus bar for connecting electrodes of another solar cell of the first solar cell string to electrodes of another solar cell of the second solar cell string, said third bus bar being disposed at another end of the wiring substrate opposite the one end at which said first and second bus bars are disposed,

wherein said solar cell is a back-side electrode type solar cell having a p electrode and an n electrode on a rear surface of said solar cell, and

wherein said adhesive agent is disposed on a region of said insulative base material other than a region in which said p electrode and said n electrode are formed, so that said adhesive agent is not substantially disposed on said first and second connection electrodes in a region between adjacent solar cells.

15. The solar battery according to claim 14 , wherein an outside of said solar cell and said wiring substrate adhered to each other by said adhesive agent is sealed with a sealing material.

16. The solar battery according to claim 14 , wherein an outside of said solar cell and said wiring substrate adhered to each other by said adhesive agent is sealed with a sealing material, and said sealing material is different from said adhesive agent.

17. The solar battery according to claim 14 , wherein said first and second connection electrodes and wirings extending therefrom and said first and second bus bars are formed from one sheet of conductive material.

18. A solar battery comprising: at least two solar cell strings, each solar cell string comprising at least two adjacent solar cells; a wiring substrate; and an adhesive agent for adhering said solar cells and said wiring substrate to each other;

wherein said wiring substrate includes an insulative base material, and a patterned metal disposed on said insulative base material, said patterned metal comprising a first connection electrode and wiring extending from said first connection electrode for connecting electrodes of adjacent solar cells in a first solar cell string, a second connection electrode and wiring extending from said second connection electrode for connecting electrodes of adjacent solar cells in a second solar cell string, the first and second solar cell strings being disposed adjacent one another on the wiring substrate, a first bus bar disposed at one end of the wiring substrate and wiring extending from said first bus bar for connecting electrodes of a solar cell at one end of the first solar cell string a second bus bar disposed adjacent the first bus bar at a same end of the wiring substrate and wiring extending from said second bus bar for connecting electrodes at one end of the second solar cell string, and a third bus bar for connecting electrodes of another solar cell of the first solar cell string to electrodes of another solar cell of the second solar cell string, said third bus bar being disposed at another end of the wiring substrate opposite the one end at which the first and second bus bars are disposed,

wherein said solar cell is a back-side electrode type solar cell having a p electrode and an n electrode on a rear surface of said solar cell.

19. The solar battery according to claim 18 , wherein said first and second connection electrodes and wirings extending therefrom and said first and second bus bars and wiring extending therefrom are formed from one sheet of conductive material.
