Claims (27)

1. A lighted inspection mirror, comprising:

a mirror;

a housing attached to the mirror;

a light member rotatably attached to the housing;

a power source for the light member, wherein the power source is in the housing; and

a handle extending from and pivotable relative to the housing and the mirror, wherein the light member is attached to the housing at an opposite end of the housing from the handle, wherein the light member is rotatably mounted to the housing at pivot points, and wherein wiring for operating the light member passes through the pivot points.

2. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the mirror has a reflective surface and a back surface, and wherein the housing is mounted to the back surface of the mirror.

3. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the light member is positioned along an edge of the housing.

4. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the housing defines an interior space and wherein the power source comprises a battery holder positioned within the interior space.

5. The apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising wiring from the battery holder to the light member, and an on/off switch mounted on the housing.

6. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the handle comprises an elongate rigid handle.

7. The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the handle comprises a telescoping elongate rigid handle.

8. A lighted inspection mirror, comprising:

a mirror;

a housing attached to the mirror;

a light member rotatably attached to the housing;

a power source for the light member; and

a handle extending from and pivotable relative to the housing and the mirror, wherein the light member is attached to the housing at an opposite end of the housing from the handle, wherein the light member comprises a light housing having a substantially cylindrical shape and mounted to rotate relative to the housing around a central axis of the light housing, and lights mounted within the light housing.

9. A lighted inspection mirror, comprising:

a mirror;

a housing attached to the mirror;

a light member rotatably attached to the housing;

a power source for the light member; and

a handle extending from and pivotable relative to the housing and the mirror, wherein the light member is attached to the housing at an opposite end of the housing from the handle, wherein the housing defines a perimeter around the mirror, and further comprising a portion of the housing having two spaced extensions defining a recessed area therebetween for receiving the light member.

10. The apparatus according to claim 8 , wherein the power source is in the housing.

11. The apparatus according to claim 9 , wherein the power source is in the housing.

12. The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the light member is rotatably mounted to the housing at pivot points, and wherein wiring for operating the light member passes through the pivot points.
