Abstract

Methods and apparatuses are provided for providing augmented reality client application content to be enabled for one or more nodes. A method may include specifying a bounded area of a mesh network and associating content with the bounded area. The method may additionally include causing, at least in part, a peer-to-peer transmission of the content to one or more nodes within the bounded area over the mesh network. Corresponding apparatuses are also provided.

causing, at least in part, the peer-to-peer transmission of the content or a request to remove the content from the one or more nodes based, at least in part, on the determination.

5. A method of claim 1 , further comprising:

retrieving at least one of a location, a directional heading, a tilt angle, and a speed of at least one of the nodes, an object associated with at least one of the nodes, or a combination thereof,

wherein the content includes the location, the directional heading, the tilt angle, the speed, or a combination thereof.

6. A method of claim 5 , further comprising:

generating a recommendation for specifying one or more locations within the bounded area based, at least in part, on the location, the directional heading, the tilt angle, the speed, or a combination thereof,

wherein the content includes the recommendation.

7. A method of claim 6 , wherein the object associated with the at least one node is a firearm, the method further comprising at least one of:

alerting the one or more nodes of the location, the directional heading, the tilt angle, the speed, or combination thereof of the firearm, the one or more nodes, or combination thereof;

causing, at least in part, disabling of the firearm based, at least in part, on the location, the directional heading, the tilt angle, the speed, or combination thereof of the firearm, the one or more nodes, or combination thereof; and

recommending a direction to discharge the firearm based, at least in part, on the location, the directional heading, the tilt angle, the speed, or combination thereof of the firearm, the one or more nodes, or combination thereof.

8. A method of claim 1 , further comprising:

specifying an item to track or search for within the bounded area; and

receiving one or more reports from the one or more nodes with respect to the item,

wherein the content includes the one or more reports.

9. A method of claim 8 , further comprising:

retrieving at least one of a location, a directional heading, a tilt angle, and a speed of at least one of the nodes, an object associated with at least one of the nodes, or a combination thereof;

determining areas within the bounded area that were previously visited by or associated with the at least one node, the item, or combination thereof based, at least in part, on the location, the directional heading, the tilt angle, the speed, the one or more reports, or a combination thereof; and

generating a recommendation for new search areas, search vectors, or a combination thereof based, at least in part, on the determination.

10. A method of claim 9 , further comprising:

causing, at least in part, presentation of at least one of the location, the directional heading, the tilt angle, the speed, the areas within the bounded area that were previously visited, and the recommendation for the new search areas, the search vectors, or the combination thereof on a mapping user interface.

11. An apparatus comprising:

at least one processor; and

at least one memory including computer program code,

the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to perform at least the following,

specify a bounded area of a mesh network;

associate content with the bounded area; and

cause, at least in part, a peer-to-peer transmission of the content to one or more nodes within the bounded area over the mesh network.

12. An apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

cause, at least in part, presentation of the content in an augmented reality user interface or a virtual reality user interface.

13. An apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

determine whether the one or more nodes are located within the bounded area at a density greater than a predetermined density threshold; and

cause, at least in part, storage, retrieval, or a combination thereof of the content at a network storage based, at least in part, on the determination with respect to the density.

14. An apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

retrieve location information of the one or more nodes;

determine whether the one or more nodes enter or exit the bounded area based, at least in part, on the location information; and

cause, at least in part, the peer-to-peer transmission of the content or a request to remove the content from the one or more nodes based, at least in part, on the determination.

15. An apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

retrieve at least one of a location, a directional heading, a tilt angle, and a speed of at least one of the nodes, an object associated with at least one of the nodes, or a combination thereof,

wherein the content includes the location, the directional heading, the tilt angle, the speed, or a combination thereof.
