Dihydroquinolinones as ectoparasiticides
View Patent ↗Disclosed are uses of dihydroquinolinone derivatives for combating ectoparasites on non-human animals. Example ectoparasites include, for example, representatives of the order acarina, including ticks and mites. Also disclosed are compositions containing dihydroquinolinone derivatives.
1. A method of controlling ticks on a non-human animal, comprising applying topically and/or locally to the animal a tickicidally effective amount of the compound of the formula
or a stereoisomer thereof, which compound is in free form or salt form.
2. The method of claim 1 wherein the tickicidally effective amount of Compound No. 11 is 25 mg/kg.
3. The method of claim 1 wherein a pour-on or spot-on formulation is applied topically and/or locally to the animal.
