SILIBININ COMPONENT FOR THE TREATMENT OF HEPATITIS
The invention relates to the use of a silibinin component for the production of a medicament that is adapted for parenteral administration for the treatment of viral hepatitis, preferably of hepatitis B or C, in particular for the reduction of the virus load. The medicament preferably contains no silidianin and/or no silichristin and/or no isosilibinin
1 . A medicament comprising a silibinin component said medicament being formulated for parenteral administration, for the treatment of viral hepatitis.
2 . The medicament as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the silibinin component is a silibinin ester.
3 . The medicament as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the silibinin ester is silibinin C-2′,3-bis(hydrogensuccinate) and/or a physiologically acceptable salt thereof.
4 . The medicament as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the medicament essentially contains no silidianin and/or no silichristin and/or no isosilibinin.
5 . The medicament as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the viral hepatitis is hepatitis B or hepatitis C.
6 . The medicament as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the medicament is formulated for injection and/or infusion.
7 . The medicament as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the medicament is formulated for intravenous administration.
8 . The medicament as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the medicament contains no other constituent of silymarin besides the silibinin component.
9 . The medicament as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the medicament contains the silibinin component in a dose of at least 50 mg, based on silibinin.
10 . The medicament as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the medicament comprises a further pharmaceutical in addition to the silibinin component.

The medicament as claimed in claim 10 , wherein the further pharmaceutical is selected from the group consisting of arginine glutamate, citiolone, epomediol, ornithine oxoglurate, tidiacicarginine, myoinositol, methionine and N-acetylmethionine, choline, ornithine aspartate, cianidanol, tiopronine, betaine, cyanocobalamin, leucine, levulose, aciclovir, idoxuridine, vidarabine, ribavirin, ganciclovir, famciclovir, valaciclovir, cidofovir, penciclovir, valganciclovir, brivudine, interferon alfa, interferon beta, interferon gamma, interferon alfa-2a, interferon alfa-2b, interferon alfa-n1, interferon beta-1a, interferon beta-1b, interferon alfacon-1, peginterferon alfa-2b, peginterferon alfa-2a and interferon gamma 1b.
12 . The medicament as claimed in claim 1 , which is suitable for the reduction of the viral load in hepatitis patients.
13 . The medicament as claimed in claim 1 for treating viral hepatitis in a patient who will undergo or has undergone liver transplantation.
14 . The medicament as claimed in claim 1 for treating viral hepatitis in a patient who does not respond to ribavirin/interferon therapy.

The medicament as claimed in claim 1 for the supportive and/or preventive treatment of viral hepatitis with a pharmaceutical selected from the group consisting of arginine glutamate, silymarin, citiolone, epomediol, ornithine oxoglurate, tidiacicarginine, myoinositol, methionine and N-acetylmethionine, choline, ornithine aspartate, cianidanol, tiopronine, betaine, cyanocobalamin, leucine, levulose, aciclovir, idoxuridine, vidarabine, ribavirin, ganciclovir, famciclovir, valaciclovir, cidofovir, penciclovir, valganciclovir, brivudine, interferon alfa, interferon beta, interferon gamma, interferon alfa-2a, interferon alfa-2b, interferon alfa-n1, interferon beta-1a, interferon beta-1b, interferon alfacon-1, peginterferon alfa-2b, peginterferon alfa-2a and interferon gamma 1b.
16 . The medicament as claimed in claim 1 , wherein, following the treatment of viral hepatitis with the medicament, the treatment of viral hepatitis takes place with another pharmaceutical.
17 . The medicament as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the medicament is formulated as a constituent of a sequential treatment, the medicament initially being administered for a first period and subsequently another pharmaceutical being administered for a second period.
18 . The medicament as claimed in claim 17 , wherein the first period comprises at least 2 days.

The medicament as claimed in claim 16 , wherein the other pharmaceutical comprises at least selected from the group consisting of arginine glutamate, silymarin, citiolone, epomediol, ornithine oxoglurate, tidiacicarginine, myoinositol, methionine and N-acetylmethionine, choline, ornithine aspartate, cianidanol, tiopronine, betaine, cyanocobalamin, leucine, levulose, aciclovir, idoxuridine, vidarabine, ribavirin, ganciclovir, famciclovir, valaciclovir, cidofovir, penciclovir, valganciclovir, brivudine, interferon alfa, interferon beta, interferon gamma, interferon alfa-2a, interferon alfa-2b, interferon alfa-n1, interferon beta-1a, interferon beta-1b, interferon alfacon-1, peginterferon alfa-2b, peginterferon alfa-2a and interferon gamma 1b.
20 . The medicament as claimed in claim 16 , wherein the other pharmaceutical is formulated for oral administration.
21 . A kit comprising at least one medicament defined as in claim 1 and at least one further pharmaceutical.
