Compositions containing amines and use thereof
View Patent ↗The present invention features compositions comprising at least one compound of the formula I or formula II: wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, and R5 independently, are selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C 1 -C 6 alkyl, C 1 -C 6 hydroxyalkyl, or a cosmetically acceptable salt thereof, and the use thereof.
1. A method of treating non-acne inflammation of skin, said method comprising administering to skin in need of such treatment a composition comprising (a) from about 0.5 to about 3% by weight of at least one compound of the formula I or formula II:
wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, and R5 independently, are selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C 1 -C 6 alkyl, C 1 -C 6 hydroxyalkyl, or a cosmetically acceptable salt thereof; and (b) from about 0.001 to about 10 wt. % of an anti-inflammatory agent.
2. A method of claim 1 , wherein R1, R2, R3, and R4, independently, are selected from the group consisting of C 1 -C 3 alkyl and C 1 -C 3 alkanol.
3. A method of claim 1 , wherein said anti-inflammatory agent is selected from the group consisting of a feverfew extract, a soy extract and a retinoid.
4. A method of claim 1 , wherein said composition comprises a compound is of the formula
an enantiomer thereof, or a diastereoisomer thereof, or a cosmetically acceptable salt thereof.
