delivering one or more radioactive microparticles to the microvascular bed in a human liver.

38 . A method comprising:

conveying one or more substantially spherical microparticles to a subject;

imaging the one or more substantially spherical microparticles to form image data; and

analyzing the image data to identify an anomalous condition.

39 . The method of claim 38 , wherein conveying the one or more substantially spherical microparticles to a subject comprises:

conveying one or more radioactive microparticles to the subject.

40 . The method of claim 38 , wherein analyzing the image data to identify the anomalous condition comprises:

comparing the image data against data that identifies known diseases to identify a an animal disease state.

41 . The method of claim 38 , wherein imaging the one or more substantially spherical microparticles to form image data comprises:

imaging using a magnetic resonance imaging system.
