Abstract

A method for forming an end-side toothing arrangement of a rolling bearing, in particular a wheel bearing. In a first method step, before the reshaping of an end piece of a hub, a die is axially arranged on the rolling hearing in a preassembled state and, in a second method step during the reshaping of the end piece and the shaping of the end-side toothing arrangement, the die radially delimits a radial recess of the rolling rivet collar as it forms. In addition, the die reduces or prevents radial widening of the inner ring.

Claims (15)

1 . A method for forming an end-side toothing arrangement from a rolling rivet collar of a rolling bearing, the method comprising:

in a first step, before reshaping of an end piece of a hub, a die is axially arranged on the rolling bearing in a preassembled state; and

in a second step, during the reshaping of the end piece and the simultaneous shaping of the end-side toothing arrangement, the die radially delimits a radial expansion of the rolling rivet collar as it forms.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the die shapes an axial and/or radial outer face of the rolling rivet collar.

3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein an inner extension of the die shapes and delimits the radial outer face of the rolling rivet collar.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein a clamping ring radially supports from outside inwards an inner ring of the rolling hearing during the second step.

5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the clamping ring is fastened to the die or is integrally connected thereto.

6 . A rolling bearing, comprising:

a rolling rivet collar having a molded-on end-side toothing arrangement,

wherein the rolling rivet collar has been radially delimited and/or shaped on a radial outer face during the formation of the rolling rivet collar.

7 . The rolling bearing of claim 6 , wherein the outer face of the rolling rivet collar is shaped annularly, conically or in a similar manner.

8 . The rolling bearing of claim 6 , wherein the outer face of the rolling rivet collar has a circumferentially continuing embossment.

9 . The rolling bearing of claim 8 , wherein the circumferentially continuing embossment is an encoder.

10 . The rolling bearing of claim 6 , wherein the outer face is provided, at least in part, as a seat for an encoder ring or a sealing element.

11 . The rolling bearing of claim 8 , wherein the circumferentially continuing embossment repeats.
