PORTABLE POWER MANAGER ENCLOSURE
Various aspects of the invention provide power manager enclosures. One aspect of the invention provides a power manager enclosure including: a sealed housing comprising opposing substantially rectangular top and bottom faces, opposing substantially rectangular longitudinal front and back faces and opposing substantially rectangular transverse left and right side faces; and a plurality of device ports for operably connecting external power devices to the power manger disposed on one or more of the left and right side faces and on only one of the front and back faces.
1 . A power manager enclosure comprising:
a sealed housing comprising opposing substantially rectangular top and bottom faces, opposing substantially rectangular longitudinal front and back faces and opposing substantially rectangular transverse left and right side faces; and
a plurality of device ports for operably connecting external power devices to the power manger disposed on one or more of the left and right side faces and on only one of the front and back faces.
2 . The power manager enclosure of claim 1 , further comprising a key pad disposed on one of the front and the back faces.
3 . The power manager enclosure of claim 2 , wherein the key pad comprises a single key.
4 . The power manager enclosure of claim 2 , wherein the front or back face that includes the key pad does not include any device ports disposed thereon.
5 . The power manager enclosure of claim 2 , further comprising one or more indicator lights associated with each device port for displaying a device port status.
6 . The power manager enclosure of claim 2 , further comprising one or more indicator lights associated with each device port for displaying a status of an external power device connected to the device port.
7 . The power manager enclosure of claim 2 , further comprising a visual display device disposed on the top face.
8 . The power manager enclosure of claim 7 , further comprising one or more indicator lights associated with each device port disposed on the top face proximate to corresponding device ports for displaying a device port status.
9 . The power manager enclosure of claim 7 , further comprising one or more indicator lights associated with each device port and disposed on the top face proximate to corresponding device ports for displaying a status of an external power device connected to the device port.
10 . The power manager enclosure of claim 9 , wherein the key pad comprises a plurality of keys.
11 . The power manager enclosure of claim 1 , comprising two device ports disposed on each of the transverse left and right side faces, two device ports disposed on the back face and a key pad disposed in the front face.
12 . The power manager enclosure of claim 11 , further comprising one or more indicator lights associated with each device port and disposed on the top face proximate to corresponding device ports for displaying a device port status.
13 . The power manager enclosure of claim 12 , further comprising one or more indicator lights associated with each device port and disposed on the top face proximate to corresponding device ports for displaying a status of an external power device connected to the device port.
14 . The power manager enclosure of claim 13 , further comprising a visual display device disposed on the top face.
15 . A power manager enclosure comprising:
a sealed housing comprising opposing substantially rectangular top and bottom faces, opposing substantially rectangular longitudinal front and back faces and opposing substantially rectangular transverse left and right side faces; and
a plurality of device ports for operably connecting external power devices to the power manger disposed on one or more of the left and right side faces and on one or more of the front and back faces;
wherein the housing has a transverse width dimension corresponding with the left and right faces of 8.0 cm or less.
16 . The power manager enclosure of claim 15 , wherein the housing has a longitudinal length dimension corresponding with the front and back faces of 12.0 cm or less.
17 . The power manager enclosure of claim 16 , wherein the housing has a thickness dimension of 4.0 cm or less.
18 . The power manager enclosure of claim 13 having a weight of more than 500 grams.
19 . The power manager enclosure of claim 13 having a weight of less than 500 grams.
20 . The power manager enclosure of claim 18 wherein the plurality of device ports includes device ports disposed on each of the left and right side faces and only on one of the front and back faces.
