Proteins derived from white spot syndrome virus and uses thereof
Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to proteins derived from white spot syndrome virus, nucleic acid sequences encoding them, and their use in the manufacture of a vaccine for prophylaxis and/or treatment of white spot syndrome in crustaceans.
1. An isolated nucleic acid encoding only a White Spot Syndrome virus envelope protein having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO.: 4.
2. The nucleic acid of claim 1 , wherein the nucleic acid is SEQ ID NO.:2.
3. A non-White Spot Syndrome virus vector comprising the nucleic acid of claim 2 .
4. A pharmaceutical composition comprising the nucleic acid of claim 1 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
5. A diagnostic kit for the detection of White Spot Syndrome virus comprising the nucleic acid according to claim 1 .
