Claims (63)

1. A method comprising facilitating access to at least one interface to allow access to at least one service, the service configured to at least perform the following:

determining by an apparatus to associate transaction information with a geographic location, the transaction information relating to at least one offering that is provided by one or more merchants of the geographic location and that is selected based on one or more offering conditions related at least to the geographic location and paid by the first user for one or more other selected users;

determining by the apparatus to make a notification related to the transaction information accessible to respective devices of the one or more other selected users based, at least in part, on the at least one offering, the one or more offering conditions, and relative locations of the respective devices with respect to the geographic location; and

causing, at least in part by the apparatus, a variation of a visual presentation intensity of the notification on a user interface at the respective devices of the one or more other selected users, based on the relative locations of the respective devices as detected by global positioning system receivers built in the respective devices,

wherein content of the notification varies based, at least in part, on a length of time passed since the transaction information is associated with the geographic location.

2. A method of claim 1 , wherein the service is further configured to perform:

determining to present a user interface specifying one or more products, one or more services, or a combination thereof; and

receiving an input for selecting at least one of the one or more products and the one or more services, and for selecting the one or more other selected users,

wherein the transaction information is based, at least in part, on the input, and

wherein the one or more offering conditions include an expatriation date, a redemption period, a limited quantity, first come first serve, or a combination thereof.

3. A method of claim 2 , wherein the service is further configured to perform:

determining to present a user interface specifying one or more social groups, one or more social networks, one or more communities, or a combination thereof; and

receiving another input for selecting the one or more other selected users, based on one or more profile conditions, from at least one of the one or more social groups, the one or more social networks, and the one or more communities,

wherein the one or more profile conditions include one or more common interests, one or more common activities, one or more common memberships, or a combination thereof.

4. A method of claim 2 , wherein the service is further configured to perform:

determining to further present in the user interface one or more templates for the transaction information, the notification, or a combination thereof; and

receiving another input for selecting at least one of the one or more templates,

wherein the transaction information, the notification, or a combination thereof is based, at least in part, on the at least one of the one or more templates.

5. A method of claim 1 , wherein the service is further configured to perform:

determining to identify one or more transactions based, at least in part, on the transaction information;

determining to retrieve payment information associated with the one or more other selected users; and

determining to complete the one or more transactions based, at least in part, on the payment information, the transaction information, or a combination thereof.

6. A method of claim 5 , wherein the geographic location is a commercial establishment, and the payment information relate to one or more monetary exchange services.

7. A method of claim 6 , wherein the service is further configured to perform:

determining access rights to the transaction information, the notification, or a combination thereof based, at least in part, on the geographic location and location information associated with the respective devices.

8. A method of claim 7 , wherein the at least one offering relates to one or more products or one or more services redeemable at the geographic location by the one or more other selected users.

9. A method of claim 8 , wherein the one or more products or one or more services are redeemable at two or more spots within the geographic location.

10. A method of claim 1 , wherein the service is further configured to perform:

determining whether the one or more other selected users are within a predetermined radius of the geographic location,

wherein the determining to make the notification accessible is based, at least in part, on the determination with respect to the predetermined radius.

11. A method of claim 1 , wherein the service is further configured to perform:

determining whether the one or more other selected users have accessed the transaction information, the notification, or a combination thereof;

updating respective status information for the transaction information, the notification, or a combination thereof based, at least in part, on the determination with respect to access.

12. A method of claim 11 , wherein the service is further configured to perform:

determining to present the status information based, at least in part, on location information associated with the respective devices.

13. A method of claim 1 , wherein the service is further configured to perform:

determining to search for the geographic location within a calendar, contacts, or email box of the first user.

14. An apparatus comprising:

at least one processor; and

at least one memory including computer program code for one or more programs,

the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to perform at least the following:

determine to associate transaction information with a geographic location, the transaction information relating to at least one offering that is provided by one or more merchants of the geographic location and that is selected based on one or more offering conditions related at least to the geographic location and paid by the first user for one or more other selected users;

determine to make a notification related to the transaction information accessible to respective devices of the one or more other selected users based, at least in part, on the at least one offering, the one or more offering conditions, and relative locations of the respective devices with respect to the geographic location;

cause, at least in part, a variation of a visual presentation intensity of the notification on a user interface at the respective devices of the one or more other selected users, based on the relative locations of the respective devices as detected by global positioning system receivers built in the respective devices; and

very content of the notification based, at least in part, on a length of time passed since the transaction information is associated with the geographic location.

15. An apparatus of claim 14 , wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

determine to present a user interface specifying one or more products, one or more services, or a combination thereof; and

receive an input for selecting at least one of the one or more products and the one or more services, and for selecting the one or more other selected users;

wherein the transaction information is based, at least in part, on the input, and

wherein the one or more offering conditions include an expatriation date, a redemption period, a limited quantity, first come first serve, or a combination thereof.

16. An apparatus of claim 15 , wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

determine to further present in the user interface one or more templates for the transaction information, the notification, or a combination thereof; and

receive another input for selecting at least one of the one or more templates,

wherein the transaction information, the notification, or a combination thereof is based, at least in part, on the at least one of the one or more templates.

17. An apparatus of claim 14 , wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

determine to identify one or more transactions based, at least in part, on the transaction information;

determine to retrieve payment information associated with the one or more other selected users;

determine to complete the one or more transactions based, at least in part, on the payment information, the transaction information, or a combination thereof.

18. An apparatus of claim 17 , wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

determine whether the one or more other selected users are within a predetermined radius of the geographic location,

wherein the determining to make the notification accessible is based, at least in part, on the determination with respect to the predetermined radius.

19. An apparatus of claim 14 , wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

determine access rights to the transaction information, the notification, or a combination thereof based, at least in part, on the geographic location and location information associated with the respective devices.
