System for Interpolating Data into Data Fields in an Image or Text Based Project
In a server-based system for creating and editing image and or text-based projects, the system having access to a digital medium containing an executable graphics user interface (GUI) accessible by computer browser, a system for automatically interpolating data into data fields belonging to an image and or text-based project includes a source of markup language constructs and or a tool implemented in software on a digital medium, and an intermediate data population form resident on a digital medium, the data population form receiving marked up data fields.

In a server-based system for creating and editing image and or text-based projects, the system having access to a digital medium containing an executable graphics user interface (GUI) accessible by computer browser, a system for automatically interpolating data into data fields belonging to an image and or text-based project comprising:
source of markup language constructs and or a tool implemented in software on a digital medium; and
an intermediate data population form resident on a digital medium, the data population form receiving marked up data fields;
wherein the designer uses the markup language constructs or the tool to define what type of data will be inserted or typed into each data field presented in a project and wherein the intermediate data population form receives the mark up information from the designer and auto-populates the project data fields with the correct information for each field type with or without user cooperation.
2 . The system of claim 1 operable through the GUI.
3 . The system of claim 1 wherein the GUI is accessible through a Website.
4 . The system of claim 1 wherein the source of markup language is a library of markup language constructs accessible through the GUI.
5 . The system of claim 1 wherein the intermediate data population form is a project wizard accessible through the GUI.
6 . The system of claim 1 wherein the intermediate data population form is a design tool accessible through the GUI.
7 . The system of claim 1 wherein the data fields include a title bar, a photo caption, a number field, a date field, an address field, a header, and a footer.
8 . The system of claim 1 wherein the data fields of a project are populated with data already known to the system in the background and without user cooperation.
9 . The system of claim 1 wherein the data fields are populated with instructional text that tells a user what kind of data belongs in each field, the user typing in the correct text over the instructional text replacing the instructional text.
10 . The system of claim 1 wherein the auto population form uses HTML tags to auto populate the data fields.
11 . The system of claim 1 wherein two or more markup language tags are associated with a single data field.
12 . The system of claim 1 wherein a project is one of a photo-book, a photo-card, a photo-calendar, or a mouse pad.
