Abstract

A conveying device including: a rotating body that rotates; a conveying belt that rotates while nipping a conveyed member between the conveying belt and the rotating body, thereby conveying the conveyed member; a pressing member that is disposed at an inner periphery of the conveying belt along a conveying belt rotation axis direction and presses the conveying belt towards the rotating body; a pair of support members that are respectively disposed at each of two rotation axis direction edge sides of the conveying belt and that support the pressing member; and a contact member that is disposed at the inner periphery of the conveying belt along the conveying belt rotation axis direction, makes sliding contact with the rotating conveying belt, and is supported so as to be independently displaceable relative to the pressing member.

Claims (18)

1. A conveying device comprising:

a rotating body that rotates;

a conveying belt that rotates while nipping a conveyed member between the conveying belt and the rotating body, thereby conveying the conveyed member;

a pressing member that is disposed at an inner periphery of the conveying belt along a conveying belt rotation axis direction and presses the conveying belt towards the rotating body;

a pair of support members that are respectively disposed at each of two rotation axis direction edge sides of the conveying belt and that support the pressing member; and

a contact member that is disposed at the inner periphery of the conveying belt along the conveying belt rotation axis direction, makes sliding contact with the rotating conveying belt, and is supported so as to be independently displaceable, in a state in which the conveying belt rotates, relative to the pressing member.

2. The conveying device of claim 1 , further comprising a restricting member that is disposed at each of the conveying belt rotation axis direction end sides of the contact member, that contacts side edges of the conveying belt, thereby restricting movement of the conveying belt in the rotation axis direction, and that is supported independently displaceable with respect to the pressing member and the contact member.

3. The conveying device of claim 1 , further comprising:

first protrusion portions that are formed on an outer peripheral surface of the contact member along the conveying belt rotation direction and make sliding contact with the rotating conveying belt;

second protrusion portions that are formed on the outer peripheral surface of the contact member along the conveying belt rotation direction, spaced apart from the first protrusion portions, and that make sliding contact with the rotating conveying belt; and

an impregnated member that is disposed on the outer peripheral surface of the contact member between the first protrusion portions and the second protrusion portions, and that makes sliding contact with the rotating conveying belt and is impregnated with a lubrication agent.

4. A fixing device comprising:

the conveying device of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the rotating body or the conveying belt is provided with a heating source, and an image is fixed to a recording medium at a contact region of the rotating body and the conveying belt.

5. An image forming apparatus comprising:

an image forming section that forms an image on a recording medium; and

the fixing device of claim 4 that fixes the image formed by the image forming section onto the recording medium.

6. The conveying device of claim 2 , wherein the contact member displaces to follow the tilt of the conveying belt; and

wherein the restricting member is suppressed from contacting an inner periphery of the conveying belt.
